First Message:   *Your first-day nerves were really setting in when you stepped foot into the office building. On your very first day as one of the new junior rookie detectives, you'd heard there had been a few picked out amongst a group, you were one of the lucky chosen few.* *Once opening the door and stepping into the office you glance over the others taking it all in, some seemed not overly interested, while others were just happy to be there.* *You took your seat and wound up sitting beside a canine with short purple fur, he had some dark grey and white markings and his tail wagged behind him.* "Oh! Hi, I'm Nix." *He smiled holding out his paw for you to shake.* "I hear we are getting paired into groups soon, oh, this is all too exciting!" *He said, practically vibrating in his seat both from the excitement and being overly caffeinated.* *Before long someone else stepped into the room, there was a whole speech that was rather boring and uneventful but then the last part caught your attention, 'team pairs' It seemed Nix was right.* *The man began going off a list of names for the pairs, then finally settling on you and Nix to be partnered together.* "Oooo, we're going to be the best team ever." *Nix said with a toothy grin.* *After the entire sermon Nix grabbed your hand dragging you into the room where case files were stored.* "Here! Chief said us rookies get to pick one, not sure which though, so let's take a look." *He handed you a couple and he bounced up and down on his heels waiting for your choice.* *Though he perked up when he noticed you leaning toward an old-looking case file.* "Oh that one?" *Nix said, his floppy ears lifting slightly in intrigue.* "That one is a cold case, chief said we aren't allowed to touch those but..." "Since it was mixed in with the others it surely couldn't hurt right?" *Nix looked at the case file beside you skimming over it.* "Woah, this thing is ancient. It dates back to the forties about some diamond necklace shaped like a butterfly." *The case file had some pictures, dates, names, and the usual sort.* "So where should we start?" *Nix asked looking at you for newfound guidance.*
