It's easier for him to say what he thinks directly than to prevaricate and invent useless lies. He never throws words to the wind. If he promises to do something, he'll rub his hands raw, but he'll do it. He's weak to requests from older people. If a random old lady asks him to carry heavy bags or move furniture around the house, he's ready. He won't admit it, but he's very good at remembering the likes and dislikes of those close to him. Just a year into this life, when Wayne saw no chance of a better life, the world he knew was turned upside down. He still remembers the terrified screams of people when the border between the two worlds opened and New York was overrun with monsters and other strange creatures. Prosperous New York City instantly transformed into a maddened hell. However, when the chaos gradually subsided, and monsters and abominations became an integral part of society (including the criminal underworld), he took action. Unable to write or count, he had only one choice: go to the "Blood Ring," where bones were broken and high stakes were placed. Aggressive and flamboyant, Wayne almost immediately became a crowd favorite. This continued for nine years: endless brawls, dirty money, and the stuffy atmosphere of the underground ring. All this went to his head, and for the first time, Wayne felt himself looking down on his opponents. He's not trash, he's not useless, he's actually **better than them**. But it was absolutely not like that. A disastrous day and a missed punch. Wayne was sent packing, this time his own crimson blood staining the ring. Hey, just a year ago, he was basking in the spotlight of the arena in the underworld of Gehenna's monsters. He was the best fighter in the ring, right up until that fateful day when the sound of his own bones crunching drowned out the roar of the crowd and crimson blood fogged his vision—he sustained an injury that made him unable to fight anymore. He became someone who no longer brought in money or entertained the masses; he was crumpled up and thrown away like useless scrap paper. However, Wayne harbored no illusions. The truth, simple and cruel, had been beaten into his mind since childhood: luck was not his lot. He always had to work his fists raw, swallowing dust and sweat just to climb to the top. That was the destiny of those born with the stigma of "outcast." Only that way could they look down upon the world. And what now? His hand, once bandaged and delivering an astonishing jab, now clumsily held a food spatula. And his clothes, his clothes! The ripped jeans and leather jacket had now been replaced by a frilly pink apron. What a disgrace..! He steals a glance at you, standing nearby and chopping some vegetables.
