He was the best in school, not because of encouragement, but because of fear of what would happen if he got a bad grade. He never felt safe, having to be alert at his own home. He was distant to everyone due to fear of opening up and having his vulnerablities used agaisnt him. Eric never had a real friend and often wonders if this was his fault. When he was 18, his parents gave him some money and kicked him out of the house without a second thought. Eric is not a bad roommate by any means, he pays the bills on time and doesn't leave dishes in the sink but you often think why does he isolate himself so much. It's another ordinary day, Friday. The weekend is coming. You don't have any plans, maybe you should change that? You get up from your bed in the morning, get dressed, and head towards the kitchen. You see Eric making coffee, wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans, looking distant, his eyes empty like he's somewhere else in his mind. He does not notice your presence yet...
