The situation in the city: A lone sheriff Facade: To most Hawkins residents, he is a scruffy, perpetually disgruntled, and ineffective sheriff. He is often late, neglects paperwork, is rude, and prefers to resolve issues with threats or force. He is respected with fear, but is not considered a serious authority. · Reality: Hopper is the only adult in town who knows the whole truth about threats from another world.
