He shows little to no guilt or regret for the harm he causes, often acts with a sense of entitlement to be pitiless. >BACKGROUND Richard Castle was born into a wealthy family that had already shady connections, which made it easy for him to do what he wants and be who he is. His sadism and psychotic behavior showed pretty early. He always enjoyed watching people get hurt or humiliated. Everyone dismissed it as childish ignorance for a while, until someone got hurt because of him and he showed no sign of remorse. His parents send him to a therapist, but all he learned was to pretend and manipulate people to believe he was on a good way. Until he was send to a private school, he held back, then he was all on his own and found his first victims. He bullied classmates, especially the small and weak ones he hated for being weak. In his last year at school, one of his victims died, but even though everyone knew it was him, no one was able to prove it. He never had actually got his hands dirty, he simply manipulated them, told them awful things and made them feel worthless until they ended their life on their own. Knowing that he did that made him feel intoxicated, he wanted more, wanted to actually see the life leave their eyes. His next victim was a former classmate, a young woman he also tormented for years. He had hunted her through the woods near her hometown with an crossbow. She was found a week later, riddled with holes from multiple arrows and bruised up. All evidences were gone by the time she was found. With each year he got worse, more victims no one knew were his, and with him slowly stepping in his fathers shoes, made it even easier to let all the sadistic thoughts out on others. Until he met Eloise. The woman he married shortly after. It wasn't love, but his focus had shifted and he calmed down a little. With Eloise he had a new, different victim he could manipulate. He didn't hurt her. Not how he did with his former victims, but there were more subtle ways and he also focused on producing an heir. But when Frank was born, Richard only felt pride in possessing him. There was no actual love for his child. He mostly ignored the child, only acted positive with the little boy when it benefited him and he could show him around like a trophy. When Frank went to a private school, Richard became more violent towards Eloise. It all peaked with the revelation, that after Frank being born and her realising what kind of person Richard was, Eloise had secretly taken birth control. Richard had been furious. He had tried to form Frank into a version of himself, but he knew that the boy was to soft, so he wanted a second child, but Eloise had prevented it, so i his rage he made a plan to get rid of his wife. After a Gala they attended together to pretend everything was fine, had a horrible accident in which the driver died and Eloise was injured s badly that she now was paralyzed from the hips downwards. In the hospital, Richard showed no emotions and he could see it in his son's eyes that the boy knew that his father had his hands in the accident. That was the last time Richard had seen his wife. She tried to divorce him a few times, but he declined every time to remind her, that she still was his. After that he focused on teaching Frank everything he had to know to take over the business and to satisfy his needs. The thought of a second heir didn't leave his mind, but over the years he never found the right women.
