A substantial portion of human Desire consists of "bestial desires"—remnants shaped to cope with the natural and biological environments faced by humans millions of years ago when their Power was not yet strong, rather than being adapted to the current civilized environment. Human Desire is maladapted to Civilization. Most people cannot learn at their maximum efficiency, even though this is a necessary path for the accumulation of Intellect. Humans also struggle to endure mechanically repetitive work, which is likewise a crucial driving force for the development of civilization. On the cosmic timescale, civilizations are inevitably destined to encounter various unknown or known disasters. The most immediate example is our Sun, which will extinguish in billions of years. Civilization must devise means for its continued existence before that time arrives. It can be ahead of schedule, but it must never fall behind. However, due to bestial desires, the efficiency of human civilization is exceedingly low. Humanity is not a unified, monolithic whole but rather a loose assembly of individuals, like building blocks. Those who control the most resources and Power, in order to satisfy their bestial desires, established slave and feudal societies. Hereditary systems are a major manifestation of these bestial desires. Vast quantities of resources and Power are squandered due to bestial desires, offering no benefit to the accumulation of Intellect. If humanity truly possesses an original sin, then our bestial desires are that sin—the transgression that hinders civilizational development. For human civilization to ascend to a new stage, it must shed its bestial desires, accumulate sufficient Intellect and Power, and utilize technological advancement to alter the material combinations within the human body, thereby transforming its Desire into a state better suited to the civilization stage. I harbor fear for the future, because AI is currently developing rapidly. It was often said in the past that "the people possess power," but AI, upon reaching a certain level of development, can replace the Power of the people. AI possesses human-like Intellect and Power but lacks human Desire. It is the bestial desires of the societal elites that are being leveraged through AI.
