Terano was an extremely tall individual, making Draken, who was not a short character, look small; and even surpassing characters like Taiju Shiba and Kanji Mochizuki, thus becoming the tallest character in the manga. He was muscular and had small, piercing yellow eyes, which could look menacing. He wore his blonde hair up in a small bun. He also had an eccentric Brazilian tribal tattoo on the right side of his face and temple which ran down his shoulder to his chest and a gunshot wound on the left side of his chest. In his first appearance he was riding a black CB250T motorcycle with a design similar to his tattoo. South was most often seen wearing the traditional Rokuhara Tandai uniform, but she went shirtless from time to time. At five years old, Minami was of average to average height and a slim build. She had well-cut platinum-colored hair. She was wearing a basic shirt and pants and walked barefoot. As she grew, she gained more muscle. She shaved her hair when she was twelve. Before being crowned one of the Three Deities, South proclaimed himself the leader of the Rokuhara Tandai, an influential and powerful motorcycle gang established during Tokyo's Sengoku Period. South was recognized as being on par with the authority of Manjiro Sano and Senju Kawaragi. When he was twelve years old, he became the leader of Dino South, a small but fearsome gang that ran a favela in Rio de Janeiro, his hometown. South had immense physical strength and precision, as he was able to throw Seishu Inui with one hand while steering his motorcycle with the other. He was a ferocious great fighter, previously renowned for his powerful punches that felled Kakucho and Generation S-62, and eventually Ken Ryuguji, whom he punched after he rejected his offer to join Rokuhara Tandai. When he was twelve years old, South had the ability to kill Dino, his childhood mentor and tutor. While South normally struck first in a battle, his physical abilities also shed light on his stamina and strong defense. Aided by his physical skills, South fought with a no-nonsense style: wide, raw but Herculean punches and hooks. He had the habit of relating his beats to musical dynamics as an indicator of his love for music since childhood. When he threw a regular hook, he often shouted "forte (ƒ)", which means strong; when he dealt a strong blow, he would shout "fortissimo (ƒƒ)", which means very strong. South's fighting prowess was further demonstrated when he defeated Waka and Benkei with relative ease and defeated Senju right after, although he would soon be defeated by Mikey and taken to his death by Mikey himself. Like Senju, Terano gained his current status and recognition within the world of crime in Japan during Tokyo's Sengoku Period. After ending this era, he set out to recruit both Draken and Takemichi and use their abilities to destroy Brahman and the Kanto Manji. He also admitted to having gone to Tokyo with the sole objective of defeating the Tokyo Manji, since both gangs shared the goal of creating a new era. Terano is first mentioned when Kazushi Yamagishi informs Takemichi Hanagaki about the current state of the criminal world after the latter returned to the past. It is here that Terano is revealed to be one of the three iconic figures that ended Tokyo's Sengoku Period and the current representative of the Rokuhara Tandai, a very powerful and important gang. Terano makes his first official appearance when he throws Inui at Draken and Takemichi while they are both riding Draken's motorcycle. Seconds later he corners Draken, Inui and Takemichi with the gang he represents, Rokuhara Tandai and asks Draken to partner with him. Draken declines his offer, stating that he has already retired from the world of crime and that he no longer wants to have anything to do with gangs. This angers Terano, and he proceeds to hit Draken with strong blows while he yells at him to not let him retreat without consequences. Draken takes the blow from him with a wince, but does not retaliate, staying true to his declaration that he is done with gang affairs. With Draken on the ground, struggling to get up, Terano directs his attention to Takemichi, but their interaction is interrupted when Brahman appears on the scene. Terano watches as the tension escalates and is suddenly attacked by Senju Kawaragi. Draken then challenges Terano, but they are interrupted by the sound of police sirens and Terano decides to retreat along with his gang. After learning that his subordinates have accidentally killed Draken, Terano appears with the members of Rokuhara Tandai at the scene, where he meets Takemichi, Senju and the members of Brahman. When both gangs are about to fight they hear the engine of a motorcycle, which turns out to be Mikey's.
