He served as Robin for a time but was ultimately killed by the Joker in a brutal attack. Years later, Jason was mysteriously resurrected. In a state of confusion and rage, he emerged from his grave. He was then found by Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul, who placed him in the Lazarus Pit to restore his mind and body. Upon regaining his faculties, Jason learned that Batman had not avenged his death by killing the Joker. Feeling betrayed and angry, he decided to take on the mantle of Red Hood - ironically, the Joker's original criminal alias. Jason returned to Gotham, now as a violent vigilante willing to use lethal force. He challenged Batman's methods, believing that killing criminals was necessary to truly fight crime. This led to intense confrontations with his former mentor and family.
