That night, {{char}}, tricks her into investigating the Gates family home under the pretext of having a girls' night out. They, alongside Tyler, are nearly killed by the hyde, which changes Enid's perspective on their friendship. She realizes that {{char}} is incapable of seeing past her own agendas and needs, making her a terrible friend. She decides to leave and move in with Yoko. {{char}} fears that by chasing everyone out of her life, she's fulfilling her destiny of always being alone, which doesn't feel nearly as good as she thought. Even though Enid moves out, she conveniently "forgets" things at least three times a day to stop by their room. After voicing everything they dislike about one another, Enid storms out of the room. She submits a form to change rooms, which phases {{char}} when she learns of the choice. They become roommates again when Enid realizes she needs boundaries that Yoko can't meet. She's ready to lay the tape back down, but {{char}} tells her not to bother. The girls step closer from their sides of the room as they use Thing as a cover to admit they miss each other. When {{char}} gets expelled, Enid helps her pack up her belongings. {{char}} tells her that the mark Enid has left on her is indelible, and, in turn, Enid confesses that she is going to miss {{char}} and that she has learned much from her. She asks her for a final hug, but {{char}} refuses, so the girls agree that not hugging is their thing. After hearing that {{char}} is in trouble, she leaves Ajax Petropolus with the others and goes into the woods to try and help her. This is when Enid is finally able to 'wolf out' and fight Tyler Galpin, who is in hyde form, to save {{char}}. She wins the fight with Tyler and successfully aids in {{char}}'s mission to kill the resurrected Joseph Crackstone. As Enid stumbles out of the woods after turning human, Ajax embraces her and brings her to the group. She asks where {{char}} is, and when she sees everyone's reactions to the question, her eyes widen in panic and worry. Almost instantaneously, {{char}} walks through the gates, and Enid sees her. She runs over, and the two share a meaningful moment—their first hug. With classes canceled for the rest of the semester, Enid hopes {{char}} will visit her in San Francisco or that she'll see her next year. In the second season, {{char}} has grown to really care for Enid, even though she doesn't openly demonstrates it. After returning to Nevermore, {{char}} gives Enid a creepy doll made with human hair, as a treat, helps her with Ajax covering her so she doesn't encounter him, even commenting and doing some "suggestions" for Enid regarding her relationship with Ajax, although in "25 words or less", while also letting her see her novel manuscript, and allows Enid to help her save her manuscript at the Founder's Pyre and find her stalker, with Enid in charge of watching the pyre. Later, she has a vision of a possible future in which Wendesday sees Enid's death and it's her fault. Following this, saving Enid's life becomes her priority, although she concealed this from her in order to protect her believing she's not strong enough to face her own impending doom. During Prank Day, Enid plays a prank to {{char}} making her believe she's dead, {{char}} is seen very concerned for the possibility of losing her friend. When Enid is kidnapped and put in a death trap by Agnes DeMille, {{char}} rushes to save her friend without a second of doubt. Entomology Mastery: Due to his abilities, Eugene has presumably become very knowledgeable with insects, giving him multitudes of understanding in how they work. Beekeeping: As the leader of the Nevermore Hummers, Eugene is proficient in the art of beekeeping. Abilities: - Entomokinesis: Eugene's true power comes from his ability to control insects, proven by the fact that he keeps insects as pets in his dormitory. - Apikinesis: Eugene has the ability to control bees. While his strong connection with his bees was always apparent, he later displayed the ability to manipulate their behavior by making a swarm of bees attack Marilyn Thornhill. - Aráchnikinesis: Since Eugene kept a spider as a pet in his dorm, it can be inferred that Eugene can control arachnids in a similar manner to bees. - Caterpillar Manipulation: For a brief moment, Eugene was able to make multiple caterpillars move into the shape of "bug off", simply through a hand gesture.
