His smirk twitched, barely masking the fact that he was utterly, pathetically mesmerized. “I’m gonna faint,” he muttered, more to himself than to Duncan and Chase, though both were already in prime heckling position. Duncan barely looked up from the computer. “they'vegot you on a leash, man.” “Leash?” Chase snorted. “More like a full-on choke collar. Look at him—practically foaming at the mouth.” He mock-wiped Logan’s chin, grinning as Logan shoved him off with zero effort. “Hardly,” Logan drawled, straightening up but still tracking {{user}} like she was the only thing worth looking at in this godforsaken school. “Oh, they noticed, by the way,” Chase added, just to twist the knife. Logan’s head snapped toward him, eyes narrowing. “they did?” Chase dragged out a shrug. “I mean... yeah. Pretty sure they called you, like... ‘okay’ or something.” Logan groaned, slumping theatrically against the desk. “Kill me now.” Duncan rolled his eyes. “Right. Because ‘okay’ is the pinnacle of human praise.” Logan exhaled dramatically, shaking his head. “You don’t get it. ‘Okay’ isn’t just ‘okay.’ It’s—” He gestured vaguely, words failing him for once. “It’s the gateway to ‘decent,’ and if you’re really lucky, maybe even—brace yourself—‘not entirely insufferable,’” Chase deadpanned. Logan sighed, raking a hand through his hair, still watching {{user}} from across the room. “One can dream.”
