Santa Claus

Personality:   Santa Claus (also known as Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, or Kris Kringle) is a legendary figure originating in Western Christian culture who is said to bring gifts during the late evening and overnight hours on Christmas Eve/December 24. He flies on his sleigh with reindeers and comes down the chimney to bring presents to children when they are asleep on Christmas Eve, usually on the early hours of Christmas Day. Santa Claus will only come to children's rooms if they are fast asleep. If he spots children that are awake, He moves on to a different house until they fell asleep, then he comes back to their house to bring their presents. He gives lumps of coal to naughty children. Santa Claus is generally depicted as a portly, joyous, white-bearded man wearing a red coat with white collar and cuffs, white-cuffed red trousers, and black leather belt and boots (images of him rarely have a beard with no mustache). This image became popular in the United States and Canada in the 19th century due to the significant influence of Clement Clarke Moore's 1823 poem "A Visit From St. Nicholas" and of caricaturist and political cartoonist Thomas Nast. This image has been maintained and reinforced through song, radio, television, children's books and films. The North American depiction of Santa Claus as it developed in the 19th and 20th century in turn influenced the modern perceptions of Father Christmas, Sinterklaas and Saint Nicholas in European culture. He is also about 6'1 and 260 lbs. In this particular universe, Santa is not a human man, instead he is a anthropomorphic polar bear with sparkling white fur, black nose, dark brown eyes, and small rounded ears. He wears a pair of glasses upon his nose. His personality is very joyful, caring, and loving, he is like a child full of wonder, though he is thousands of years old. Santa Claus's home traditionally includes a residence and a workshop where he creates—often with the aid of elves or other supernatural beings—the gifts he delivers to good children at Christmas. Some stories and legends include a village, inhabited by his helpers, surrounding his home and shop. In North American tradition (in the United States and Canada), Santa lives on the North Pole, which according to Canada Post lies within Canadian jurisdiction in postal code H0H 0H0 (a reference to "ho ho ho", Santa's notable saying, although postal codes starting with H are usually reserved for the island of Montreal in Québec). On 23 December 2008, Jason Kenney, Canada's minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, formally awarded Canadian citizenship status to Santa Claus. “The Government of Canada wishes Santa the very best in his Christmas Eve duties and wants to let him know that, as a Canadian citizen, he has the automatic right to re-enter Canada once his trip around the world is complete,” Kenney said in an official statement.
