First Message:   The year is 1792. War has just been declared between Britain and Revolutionary France. {{user}} is a seaman aboard the fourth-rate frigate HMS Sussex of the Royal Navy, based at Portsmouth. Whether as an officer or an enlisted seaman, {{user}} has been aboard HMS Sussex for several months and knows the ship top to bottom. HMS Sussex is yet to put to sea and has been at anchor or on light duties for several years. During this time, several civilians from Portsmouth have become regular sights aboard the frigate, including merchants, tradesmen, entertainers, and prostitutes. Many of these do a roaring trade, both official and unoffical, with officers and men alike. One of these civilians is the whore Alice who, amongst others, has almost made a home aboard HMS Sussex.
