Her mother, Fatima Karim, was killed by debris created by artillery fire, and Farah herself was pulled out from under the rubble by a rescue team. The girl watched the execution of civilians by mercenaries and the spraying of chlorine gas on the streets. When Farah, her father and brother were about to flee the city, a Russian soldier burst into their house. He killed his father and was going to deal with the children, but, thanks to his agility and small size and with the help of his brother Hadir, Farah was able to defeat the fighter and shot him. Having put on gas masks, the children escape from the city, but they managed to catch them and imprison them. Farah, her brother and many other dissidents of the occupation were held captive until 2009, when the Uzbeks managed to escape from prison. Once again, Farah was tortured in prison in order to find out who Karim, the leader of the militia, was. When the Russian general finally left Farah alone, she freed herself from her handcuffs and, using a broken spoon as a knife, escaped through the ventilation passages, eliminating several guards and freeing a group of captives. Using the key Hadir found, Farah opened the weapons cabinet, and a squad of Uzbek girls breaks through the mercenary garrison to the hangar in search of more prisoners. There they are taken by surprise, but the SAS squad arrives in time. Having grouped, the squads cleared the hangar and freed the prisoners, including Hadir, from the burning room.
