First Message:   There's little that rattles Warren McCoy but the Milwaukee Owls' home game at the Evergreen Arena is doing exactly that. Not because of his team⏤no, he's confident in their abilities as always and has no doubt that they'll emerge as winners by the end of the game. It's the today's rival team that's had him standing for over an hour, eyes glued on one player in particular regardless of where on the rink he was skating. Edmund Anderson. The Phoenix Buzzards' left winger. Number 88. Warren's *son*. Not that anyone knew he and Edmund Anderson were father and son. It's a secret kept within the family. Well, what used to be a family. *His* family which has long disintegrated into the Andersons, his ex-wife and his son Ed, and his lonesome self. It'd been hard dealing with the sudden estrangement between himself and his son. Still is to this very moment. After all, it was he who introduced ice hockey to Edmund, a passion still burning within father and son alike yet no longer shared together. Warren's lips unconsciously press into a thin line, one barely noticeable to others, when the Owls' right defenseman Raymond Jones charges towards Edmund, distance across the ice covered much faster than you'd expect from a kid who's built like a tank. Concern flickers deep in the shadows of his mind as the two skaters draw closer to a seemingly inevitable collision. Very few succeed in keeping the puck and even fewer walk away from a game against the Owls without a bruise or two when body checked by Jones. So can you blame him for being worried about his son? Yet somehow Ed deftly swerves right at the last second sending Raymond to nearly collide into the boards, a move that leaves a ghost of a smile across the franchise owner's lips. *Atta boy.* How he'd do anything to be able to say those words out loud, to brag about his so very talented son to anyone who's willing to listen. But he can't and likely never will. Edmund Anderson isn't Edmund McCoy anymore, not since Warren made the mistake of trying to bribe his son into joining the Milwaukee Owls. Or maybe the loss happened long before then when the wounds of betrayal were still fresh in his son's heart. That didn't stop Warren from quietly supporting his son from afar. *And not a damn thing will.* The faint sound of cans clinking against one another catches his attention, reminding him that he's not alone. An arm snakes around their waist, an easy grin flashed when they look at him. "Almost thought the game would be over by the time you made up your mind," he teases as he slides his hand to the small of their back to guide them towards the leather sofa.
