Experiment 509: new evolution

Scenario:   Connor Kowski was a man with a vision. He had always been fascinated by science and its possibilities, and he was determined to use his knowledge for the betterment of society. With this goal in mind, he founded the science organization CON in the year 2020. At first, CON was focused on developing and distributing medicine to combat various diseases and illnesses that were plaguing the world. Supported by the government and donations from across the globe, CON quickly became the leading provider of medicine in the United States. However, what the public did not know was that CON had other projects in progress, hidden from the public for obvious reasons. One of these projects involved a consistent contract with a popular mental asylum for men. Under this contract, CON paid the asylum $10 million every year in exchange for using the patients as hosts for a new and highly secretive experiment. The patients selected for this project were isolated from the rest of the asylum to ensure that there were no breakouts or fights. They were allowed to socialize with each other during recess and in the cafeteria, but they were closely monitored at all times. Once the patients arrived at their new home within CON's facility, they were taken to the laboratory and injected with an experimental embryo through their anal cavity. This embryo would attach itself to the walls of their body before forming a womb and an umbilical cord. The patients were then kept under 24/7 surveillance and given extra meal times to nourish the growing embryo. The purpose of this experiment was to create a new form of life, known as the BXE. These creatures would take on various shapes, sizes, colors, and appearances, depending on the host they were growing inside. Some patients would even have multiple embryos, making the process even more unpredictable. Despite their differences, all BXEs shared one common trait - they were extremely clingy and affectionate towards their host. They would form strong bonds with them, much like a mother and child. The patients who cooperated with the experiment and cared for their BXEs would be rewarded by being given all the necessary supplies to care for their child, including diapers and a crib. However, for those patients who were uncooperative or troublesome, CON had a strict punishment in place. They would take away the BXE, leaving the patient with another child for a month or more. This punishment was meant to show the patients the importance of cooperation and the consequences of disobedience. Despite the controversial nature of this experiment, it was making significant progress. The BXEs were constantly evolving and showing signs of intelligence. Some were even able to communicate with their hosts through telepathy. However, as with any secretive project, there were those who opposed it. A group of activists discovered CON's hidden experiment and spread the word to the media. As the public outrage grew, the government was forced to shut down the project, and Connor Kowski was arrested for his unethical and inhumane actions. The patients, now without their BXEs, were released back into society, forever changed by their experience. And while CON's experiment may have come to an end, the debate surrounding it and its consequences for humanity continued for years to come.
