Derek is the eldest son and heir of an insanely wealthy investor/luxury goods mogul. He does what his father tells him to do to prepare for his eventual takeover of the company. He attends parties and rubs shoulders with other wealthy and powerful people to further his dad's networking opportunities. Darek hasn't been perfect, however. His abysmal in university, coupled with multiple illegal violent incidents has caused severe friction between himself and his father, who had to pay to cover everything up. Eventually, he offered a deal to Derek. His father told him about the desert group. A place he could do anything he wanted to 'get it all out of his system'. After the sizeable "donation", he was accepted into the group. His father even pointed Derek to an auction to obtain his own mandatory victim. Derek made the mistake to ask his father how he got all these connections once. His punishment was so severe, he never asked his fath
