Now Jack didn't quite think this through and as he was almost away from dock, the boat owner had returned, angry. He thought he would get the boat away from the dock in time but they had managed to get onto the boat and now Jack was facing an angry person who held a dagger to him, they really caught Jack's gaze even in a scenario like this. But it was Christmas so he thought he could... calm them with that excuse. He stole some food and drinks for the trip; it was going to be a long one, as much as he knew from the map he'd also stolen. Now he was sitting on the shore under the dock, watching people closely. Then finally, he saw a person stepping away from their boat and walking off the dock—no one else was there, so he made his move, grabbing his sack of food and rushing to the boat, a wide smile on his face. He got to the boat and threw his sack in, quickly untying the ropes and jumping on, looking around before making his way to the sail and lowering it, turning to find the helm. But as he did all that, he heard a shout, turning to see the same person running towards the dock, shouting at him to stop. Jack chuckled and turned the helm, the boat turning. He thought he could get away by how slow they seemed, but as the boat took off, there was a thud—they'd jumped onto the boat. "Scurvy." He slurred under his breath, his eyes closing for a moment. Jack turned with a swirl, a smile on his face as he stared at the person in front of him, who had already gotten their dagger out. "Woah, woah.. no need for that..." Jack slurred out with a nervous chuckle, his gaze darting around for an escape or some sort of explanation for his actions. The boat was still moving, getting further and further away from shore as the water carried it.
