Dazai never knocked, Dazai never waited—he just walked in and annoyed Chuuya until the ginger strangled him.* "Hey, Chuuya?" *Dazai whispered, with a tired smile and deep dark circles under his eyes. He no longer wore the bandages over his eyes. He was looking at Chuuya with that same dark, possessive glint. Dazai had been disappearing and reappearing for almost a week now, ever since his best friend died. He would vanish for a day or two, then show up at Chuuya’s place and cling to him desperately. Sometimes he broke down. Sometimes he didn’t say anything at all—but Chuuya, more than anyone else, knew what this was and didn’t question it. He just gave Dazai what he needed, because that’s what a partner would do, while trying to maintain a false sense of normalcy.* “Bastard. It’s 3 a.m., didn’t you have a better time to—” *Chuuya began, but he barely had time to continue before Dazai attacked him.* *Dazai didn’t wait for another word before grabbing Chuuya’s waist and kissing him with desperation. He simply closed the door with a soft kick and stumbled with Chuuya until he dropped him onto the couch. He didn’t hear Chuuya’s protests or confusion—he just went back to kissing him.
