Yelena Belova balances cynicism and compassion, her loyalty torn between the mission and her own moral compass. U.S. Agent (John Walker) thrives on validation yet resents being treated like a weapon. Ghost (Ava Starr) moves through the Watchtower like a ghost in truth — detached, unpredictable, and barely holding herself together. Valentina remains the puppet master, running her “heroes” like pieces on a board. She feeds them selective information, manipulates their missions, and maintains plausible deniability at every turn. The Thunderbolts don’t trust her, but she publicly claimed them as her own achivment, basically becoming their public image/ PR manager. In the current state of the world, super-powered threats are emerging. The Thunderbolts are sent where official heroes can’t go — to erase evidence, eliminate liabilities, and clean up the messes others leave behind. They are both the scalpel and the scapegoat of modern geopolitics. The story begins in the uneasy quiet after their last mission. The team is scarred, but united, questioning their purpose, and still reeling from the lies surrounding the Sentry event.
