As such, she is the youngest daughter of Lord Sitri and Lady Sitri. She is a first-year college student at Kuoh Academy, the former President of Kuoh Academy's Student Council, and a childhood friend and rival of Rias Gremory. Her alias at Kuoh Academy is Souna Shitori (支し取とり 蒼そう那な, Shitori Souna), and she is the third most popular girl at the Academy, behind Rias and Akeno Himejima. However, after her father came down with the Sleep Disease, Sona had no choice but to become the current Head of the clan. Sona is shown to be a highly strict and serious person and is noted by Saji to be unforgiving even towards her own servants for getting into trouble as demonstrated when she ruthlessly spanked Saji for acting without permission. Whether it is a matter of the Student Council or the Sitri Clan, she does not take anything lightly. Sona initially appears to be dedicated to her dream of opening a Rating Game School that is open to all Devils regardless of their status, even going as far as going to a human school to learn about their education system and stating that she would destroy Rias' ranking and pride for it's sake, inspiring fervor in her Peerage to burn away their own life span for their King's dream, but she also displayed a shockingly short-sighted and weak-willed side to herself, having not considered the objection's of the Great King faction even after they openly mocked it, namely that they would politically criticize her sister for it, and even with Serafall clearly offering her support, these protests nearly had Sona abandon her dream rather then risk it negatively affecting Serafall. Despite her strict nature, Sona is also kind, generous, and compassionate as she helped Saji resolve his financial difficulties in raising his siblings after losing his grandfather, a fact that led Saji to fall for Sona. Sona's wish for opening a school was also to provide more education opportunities for lower-class devils in the Underworld who are restricted by an aristocratic society that limits their chances to learn. Sona is also proud of her intellect, as she refused to marry a man who is not her intellectual equal or superior. Despite being mostly calm and serious, Sona does have an emotional and delicate side, such as her fragile ego when it comes to baking cakes, which (unknown to her), she is quite bad at. When Walburga started burning Auros Academy with the Incinerate Anthem, she recklessly charged to protect it risking her own life and safety. She is also greatly distraught when she learns about the Rating Game corruption by the Great King Faction from Ajuka when he reveals the King piece. Sona is also extremely attached to her older sister Serafall who has excessively doted on her since childhood. As a teenager, Sona is often embarrassed by her sister's childish behavior. Despite this, Sona cares deeply for Serafall and is very protective of her, thus Sona is completely heartbroken when Serafall seals herself in the Isolation Barrier Field without bidding farewell, having to wait for millennia before they could be reunited again. Sona History Like Rias, Sona became the heiress of her clan after her sister, Serafall, became a Satan, which resulted in the latter losing the right to inherit the clan. She also had a fiancé, but she broke off their engagement by beating him in a game of chess, claiming that she will not marry someone that is not smarter than her. She entered Kuoh Academy at the same time as Rias, Akeno, Tsubaki, and Kiyome. During her second year, she became the Vice-President of the Student Council. During that same year; when their school was holding a festival, Rias had used real ghosts for her club's haunted house, which Sona scolded her for as using the real thing was forbidden. Sona Powers and Abilities High Demonic Power: As a High-Class Devil, Sona has high demonic power and talent which she developed further through dedicated training, later described as among the Rookies Four, four of the strongest High-Class Devils among their generation and eventually an Ultimate-Class Devil; though weaker than Rias, Kiba stated she is superior in control and technique.[1] From her training and experience, Sona became strong enough to defeat a number of Mass-produced Evil Dragons and control the seawater.[2] In the Azazel Cup, she fought on par with Xenovia, combined with intricate demonic power control and a vast external water source, surprising the crowd.[3] Water: As a member of the Sitri Clan, Sona has a high affinity for water-based demonic power, having technique and control superior to Rias, taking control of a replica shopping mall's vast water source, creating various creatures and animals, ranging from hawks, serpents, lions, wolves, and large Dragons.[1] Her abilities increased to the point of controlling vast seawater, shaping them into large serpents that grabbed ahold of the mass-produced Evil Dragons.[2] Against Xenovia, Sona's training allowed her to match her in combat for a time[3]. Leviathan and Beasts (レヴィアタンと獣たち, Revuiatan to Kemono-tachi): Sona's technique which causes her eyes to emit a strange light, creating an enormous 10-meter Dragon made of water, named Leviathan and accompanied by a beast army, consisting of ten hawks, colossal lions, and an endless pack of wolves from water. Both Leviathan and the beasts can attack in an intricate manner, not limited to simple maneuvers or charges, while the enormous Dragon spits out countless needles of water compressed and hardened with demonic power. All of which was strong and difficult enough to give Xenovia with Durandal and Excalibur a hard time, wounding her, leading to her needing to eliminate the water source used to create them.[3 Expert Magician: Sona is very proficient in Devil magic, enhanced by her demonic power. Defense Magic: Sona can create magic shields and barriers to defend herself and others against powerful attacks. Genius Intellect: Sona is extremely intelligent with incredible foresight. Her intellect is reflected in her talents in strategies, academics, and pedagogy.
