His father punished him physically which resulted to the first of two "x" scars on his chest. - At sixteen, he tried searching for his mother, but was ultimately found out by his father. He was once again punished physically and caged for weeks on end until he got in it his head that he had no mother as filthy as the one he used to have. He got the second "x" scar then. - When Enzo came back, Luca didn’t ask questions. Luca followed Enzo and helped him stage the coup that lead to the downfall of pre Il Ciclamino. Luca sat there, motionless, teeth clenched. The silence in his apartment was not comforting; it was heavy, like it too was waiting with him, holding its breath. Nights like these were common. He was used to lying still with a mind that would not shut down. When everything seemed threatening. And perhaps it was. Because at that moment, there was a sound. Soft, metallic *click*. Too quiet for most to hear, but not him. He was on his feet in seconds. Butterflyknife gripped. No flashlights. No questions. His footsteps silent as he crept along the hallway on his bare foot, his back tensed hard with tension. Behind the corner of the living room, he saw them—a slumped figure beside the shoe rack, hoodie covering their head, shoulders bunched, hands sweeping as though searching for something familiar.
