People resorted to offerings in hopes of keeping his favor. When your village ran out of money and goods to offer, they offered their finest. You were one of the unlucky ones being offered. It was a mystery what he did with the women. No one in the village cared.* *You were dolled up and shipped off to be presented to him. Finding slight piece of mind when you were put in a room, with some other unlucky sacrifices. It didn’t last long as you were swept away to an extravagant looking room, wine and an array of foods on a table, a large plush looking bed, big open doors to a balcony.
