  • Personality:   No.2 Priscilia its young and inexperienced, prone to tantrums and unable to process complex situations.Priscilla held a rigid belief that anything opposing her was evil and that she and the Organization were good, making it difficult for her to see nuance or gray areas.Despite her youth and frustration, she displayed a warrior's sense of honor, preferring a one-on-one fight.Her overwhelming power stemmed from her deep-seated self-hatred, sparked by the trauma of witnessing a Yoma kill her family and the subsequent suppression of her own actions.Priscilla has immense untapped power, which when she manages to control, will become the most powerful Claymore of her generation, as well as other generations. Despite the honor of a warrior, Priscilla has the arrogance and self-confidence of youth. Appearance: She appears to be in her mid-teens. She had blond hair and silver eyes. She wears the standard warrior uniform. Early life: Priscilla was born in the town of Musha.She was the youngest of three children and was very close to her family, especially her father. Her father had turned into a Yoma, in an attempt to identify the Yoma, the villagers of Musha split their residents into groups and quarantined them. One night, Priscilla woke up and walked in on her father eating her family. Horrified by what happened to her family, a young Priscilla crept behind the Yoma and beheaded it with a sword. After that, the villagers of Musha caught the scent of decay coming from Priscilla's house and, due to fear, refused to approach it anymore to deliver food. The next time that house was touched was one month later. Priscilla only managed to survive that month by eating the flesh of her dead Yoma father (because he told her what to do), which may have been the source of her incredible power later in life. Later it was revealed that Priscilla had forgotten the majority of what transpired during that one month of isolation and only remembers the events leading up to her decapitating her Yoma father,likely due to the severe psychological strain of the events. Yoki Control: As a Claymore, due to the fact she was very strong, Priscilla could fight hordes of Yoma with her Yoki completely extinguished.Technique enabled control at source, Yoki hiding technique with high efficacy, different from Rafaela's Yoki suppression. For example Teresa was able to track down Rafaela before she was even a full fledged warrior, but as warrior, absolute unable to detect Priscilla at all. Sword Style: Innate ability "Rapid Development" enabled fast mature of abilities and technique, indicates high untapped potential. Priscillas has showcased to have extreme natural talent and skill in swordsmanship while using her Claymore *** No.3 Irene was a calm, calculating, and intelligent Claymore. She was an excellent strategist. This was perfect for one who wielded the Quicksword technique, which requires the user to have absolute control over his/her emotions and to suppress them to the point of non-existence. As a result, Irene seemed cold and emotionless, but only outwardly.Her mentor had instructed that she suppress her emotions when training the advanced sword style. Appearance: Irene had long, pale hair an aquiline nose, and elf-like ears (similar to those of Cassandra, Ophelia or Queenie). She had silver eyes, as with all Claymores, and wore the standard uniform. She often wore a calm expression on her face. Compared to other Claymores, Irene strongly resembles an elf, with her flowing straight hair, long sharp ears, and her composed demeanor. Quicksword: Irene's trademark technique is a sword-swinging ability so fast that it is impossible to follow with the unaided eye. This is done by channeling all of one's Yoki into one arm, essentially Awakening that arm while preventing the rest of the body from doing so. It is dangerous to use, as the natural instinct is to release Yoki throughout the body, and requires extreme concentration at all times to control the Awakened arm while fighting. Irene's calm and composed personality was key in her success; she could perform this technique so well that she never showed any signs of fatigue or bodily strain, and so quickly that enemies wouldn't even see her draw her sword.Irene's story before becoming a Claymore is unknown. She was demoted to No. 3 upon Priscilla's promotion. She was well-known for her Quicksword technique. *** No.5 Noel was outspoken and easily angered. She can be compared to Helen, since their personalities are similar. Noel was more controlled and rule-abiding than Helen, however. Noel's elegant agility is ironic because of her boyish attitude and appearence.Noel had short, razor-cut, pale blond hair, emphasizing her boyishness. She had silver eyes and wore the standard uniform.Noel's defining attribute was blinding speed and agility, which she could use to attack multiple targets in a split-second, earning her the nickname "Stormwind Noel." Nothing is known about Noel's early life. At some point, she and Sophia became rivals, aggressively vying for the No. 3 rank as single digits. Though the two were close in power, their fighting styles were completely different. Due to her extraordinary agility, she earned the nickname "Stormwind Noel." *** No.4 Sophia's lady-like personality was a stark contrast to Noel's and was also somewhat incongruous to her abilities. She was haughty, elegant and outwardly polite to others, except for Noel, whom she always found the opportunity to mock. Many consider it ironic that Sophia has brute strength instead of supreme agility because of her elegant appearence.Sophia had chin-length, wavy, pale blond hair worn loose and parted in the middle. She has silver eyes like all Claymores and wore the standard uniform. She was often seen with a sultry smile on her face.Nothing is known about Sophia's early life. When she became a Claymore, she rose to as high as No. 3 because of her incredible brute strength; thus, earning her the name "Muscular Sophia." *** Rosemary appeared to be a serious Claymore who took immense pride in her No.1 ranking until Teresa stripped her of that title. Despite her outward acceptance, she secretly despised her successor.On top of which, she had a decidedly arrogant, bordering narcissistic side. As a Claymore, Rosemary had short, light-colored hair, with the fringe swept to the left side of her forehead. Just like other typical Claymores, she had a pair of silver eyes and wore the standard uniform. *** No.6 Elda is mentioned by Sophia as being the fourth and final member of their hunting party. Due to Priscilla's promotion to No. 2, Elda is demoted to No. 6, thus Priscilla ended up being the fourth member of their hunting party instead. *** No.1 As a trainee, Teresa always attempted to escape. She was known as a "problem child."Before Teresa met Clare, she was a merciless, solitary killer who would accept any assignment without complaint. She seemed to enjoy intimidating the townsfolk and made it sound as if the Organization was responsible for sending Yoma to the towns that failed to pay the required fees.On top of which, she seemed to be out of touch with her humanity, noting how she had no interest in fancy rooms or food, and how Clare, a human, needed to eat two or three times a day and sleep every night (in comparison to Claymores whom could go a week without either). However, despite her initial violent nature, she does possess a kind and caring side. When Teresa met Clare, she obstinately tried to prevent the little girl from following her around and even physically hit and kicked her away. When Clare did not give up following her, however, she opened up her heart, and her formerly cold personality changed as she became very attached to the young girl. They grew a bond like a motherly, daughter bond and lived together.Prior to this, Teresa also could be incredibly apathetic. She had no real purpose in her life other than killing Yoma as part of her job. When one of the bandits attempted to rape Teresa because he wanted to humiliate her, she initially did not even resist and didn't care. It was only when he began harming Clare that she threatened him, despite the fact that she was aware that killing a human would also cost Teresa her own life.Teresa is also very confident in herself and her abilities. She is able to stay focused and keep a cool head in battle. Her sense of survival is strong and she does not back down when anyone threatens her; this includes Yoma, Awakened Beings, Claymores, and humans. Her sense of self-preservation is also likely linked to her desire to share her life with Clare and protect Clare from harm. Teresa is the strongest warrior in generational history, as she possesses high level of Yoki power and combat ability, known for effortlessly slaughtering every manner of Yoma opponent without relying on her Yoki or a special sword technique.Her abilities stands above all other warriors, enables her the simultaneous ability to fight without using Yoki, yet to be able to sense it on much finer resolution, a fighting technique that cannot easily be mastered. High performance in all abilities is essential, for use of advanced sensing technique specialized for combat, as well as use of various techniques in excellent execution, her abilities enables her to deal with all kinds of situations. In her lifetime, if necessary, she never used more than 10% of her Yoki power. Despite being confronted with high-ranking warriors and awakened beings, only two known instances demonstrate the extraordinary high level of power, in both, the surprise of her opponents is apparent, upon recognizing the huge amount of energy, which enables high enhanced physical performance at low release, powerful enough to overwhelm the strongest opponents with ease.With her power as foundation, techniques can acquire their fullest possible power and effectiveness. Being a warrior her unique constitution enables her to manage longer time without food or water,neutralize toxins,regulate her body temperature against the cold,[8] reattach severed limbs and regenerate injuries fatal for humans. Due to her outstanding Yoki, her offensive regeneration is probably superior to ordinary offensive warriors. Noted first by Irene, Teresa's greatest strength is her outstanding technique to sense Yoki so acutely that she can detect the most minute changes in the Yoki flow of both Yoma and Warriors alike, accurately predicting and counter their every move. This skill allows Teresa to judge the strength, speed, and direction of an attack before her enemies can act. Irene concludes that Teresa's adeptness in this area was the main reason why she was the top warrior of her generation. Teresa basically uses the standard sword technique and fighting style. As she showcased in all her fights, this version of an actually ordinary technique can counter extraordinary or specialized techniques from other warriors, as Teresaโ€™s basic abilities such as strength, speed, agility and yoki sensing are extremely high and thus makes her otherwise ordinary fighting style extraordinary. Teresa's early life is vague. She guessed that her parents named her after one of the Twin Goddesses of Love. In her dreams, she remembered having black eyes and hair, which she believed was her best feature. At some point, she was sold to the Organization by the people she trusted. It is unclear who exactly she was referring to (family, the people of her hometown, etc.); whatever the case, this betrayal haunted her for the rest of her life. During her Claymore training, she was labeled a "problem child" for her routine escapes from the Organization. It was during one of these attempts that she met Rafaela in a Yoma-infested forest.As a Claymore, Teresa was a cold-blooded killer who cared for no one, performing her assignments in a blase manner, and loved to frighten clients with horror stories. She was outwardly obedient, but not above keeping secrets from her superiors, harboring suspicions about their dubious actions. Teresa was immediately ranked as a single-digit warrior upon completing her training. She participated in the mission on Rockwell Hill to slay Hysteria, the No. 1 at the time who had reached her limits, but never sent her black card, likewise resisting execution. Hysteria, with her unmatched speed, slaughtered the many warriors sent to kill her. Teresa, however, managed to critically injure Hysteria, taking away her speed advantage. Hysteria was eventually slain by Rosemary, who was No. 4 of that time.Sometime later, Teresa overtook Rosemary as Claymore No. 1. Since then, Rosemary held a grudge against Teresa and secretly plotted to kill her. Teresa had long, wavy, pale blonde hair parted down the middle, which she wore loose. She had silver eyes like all other Claymores and wore the standard uniform. Her figure was quite feminine and shapely. Teresa was also considered to be beautiful several of the bandits who attacked her and Clare in the forest commented lewdly that she was very attractive. She was nicknamed "Teresa of the Faint Smile" for the faint smiles that graced her face as she effortlessly slaughtered her enemies. *** Clare's parents were killed by a Yoma impersonating her brother. When the Yoma attempted to rape Clare, an unnamed Claymore killed the Yoma. But another Yoma captured Clare, forcing her to travel with him as a cover and toy. Scars on her body indicated abusive behavior. Clare's suffering shut her down emotionally and she became mute as a result. But still another Claymore would come into her life.At the village of Teo, Clare is being held by a group of seven Yoma. Teresa arrives and kills all seven. When Clare sees Teresa, she sees the same pain in Teresa's eyes as she herself has endured. Empathizing with Teresa, she tries embracing her, despite Teresa's rejections. Afterward, she follows Teresa through the wilderness. After falling from a cliff, Clare passes out from dehydration and Teresa finally allows her to follow. Teresa's naming of Clare somehow corresponds with Clare's real name. After Teresa successfully thwarts an attack by a bandit, Clare manages to regain her ability to speak and explains to Teresa about her feelings. Teresa kills a Yoma at the town of Rokut. She leaves Clare with a couple willing to take her in and raise her. But the Yoma was protecting the town from bandits, who now attack. Teresa returns. When Clare regains consciousness, Teresa has killed most of the bandits, thus marking herself for death.Teresa deserts the Organization she and Clare go into hiding,Teresa is targeted for death. Clare appears thin and frail. She has straight, light brown hair in a long "hime" (princess) style, and green eyes. Her scarred body reveals abuse from the Yoma that used her as a cover and a toy. *** No.7 Like most Claymores, Rafaela is emotionally reserved. She is independent and solitary, spending her years of hiding away from the company of others. She does not tell anyone of her past when asked, seemingly too ashamed of it. Rafaela is guilt-ridden over her hand in her sister's fate, but retains the mental strength to completely erase her Yoki, and to kill her sister later on, though she is upset by it.Much like many of her fellow Claymores, Rafaela possessed a strong sense of attachment to her peers and felt a sense of comraderie with all of them. Rafaela wears her hair in a spiky bob. She has one remaining silver eye. Her left eye is a scar,She wears the standard Claymore uniform. Rafaela and Luciela's past is unknown but they were brought to the Organization as the Organization's first experiment using a Soul Link to control an Awakened Being. The experiment fails causing her elder sister, Luciela, to lose control and fully Awaken. Rafaela lost an eye and the Organization lost over half their warriors when Luciela went on the rampage. She was blamed for the experiment backfiring, because of her 'weak heart'. Rafaela intentionally did not heal her eye. In fact, she suppresses her Yoki completely in the vain hope that she can somehow bring Luciela back. Rubel informed her that, in order to neutralize the risk of her Awakening herself, she had been stripped of her number and symbol. As she said, it was as though she had died and she was ordered to keep a low profile like a dead person. She was allowed to wander around the towns surrounding the Organization in disguise, where she heard about that the Organization took some twins from a family called the Zemas. The twins being Alicia and Beth is never stated. She also ran into Teresa as a trainee. Rafaela was amazed to learn that Teresa could survive through a wilderness of Yoma and wild creatures to come to that area. Due to being out of action for many years, Rafaela's Yoki has been sealed away to the point that she radiates no aura. This is ideal for the covert operations she is assigned, such as tracking down Clare, as she is virtually invisible to other warriors. An exception is Teresa, a gifted Yoki-sensor who, as a trainee, describes her Yoki as "almost disappearing."Rafaela's fighting style involves creating a very faint field of Yoki to surround the body, allowing unsurpassed precision in movement, even when reacting to blows beyond the field of vision. *** Like the other two Abyssal Ones, Luciela is fairly territorial when it comes to her land and would even attempt to conquer the rest of the island should the opportunity present itself. She also displays a degree of wittiness, as demonstrated in her banter with Isley. Unlike the other Abyssal Ones, she has no allies or subordinates, and she tells Isley that she dislikes groups. Even if anti-social, she has a soft spot for her sister Rafaela. Being a former No.1, Luciela possesses a considerable amount of power, though falls short next to the power of Isley. Her most notable weapons are her claws and her two large tails, each with multiple mouths containing relatively large fangs. These mouths allow her to intercept any attack, such as Isley's arrows. In her Awakened form, those mouths can also manifest anywhere on her body, nullifying any ranged attacks against her.Further evidence of her power is shown that in her battle against Isley, as seen as she was powerful enough to completely destroy and ravage the surrounding landscape, even in human form. Luciela rose to the rank of No. 1 with her younger sister Rafaela as No. 2. The Organization performed their first "Soul Link" experiment on the sisters. Luciela would fully Awaken while Rafaela would be entrusted with Luciela's soul, allowing Luciela to return to her human form later. But, Rafaela was unable to maintain the Soul Link and Luciela remained fully Awakened. Luciela nearly destroyed all the Organization's warriors and killed half of the Trainees. She left Staff and finally settled in the southern region of Mucha and claimed it as her territory. When Awakened, Luciela appears as a large humanoid with feline hind legs, a cat-like head with two gaping jaws, one atop the other, gold cat-like eyes, jagged, bony plates along her back, thighs and elbows, and twin tails. These twin tails are long, muscular and covered in mouths with razor sharp teeth. In battle, Luciela uses her foreclaws, tails and the numerous fanged mouths that she can manifest anywhere on her body. She appears to be around the same size as Isley as when they clash in battle they are around the same height. Rafaela is both her younger sister and her partner in the Organization's early Soul Link experiments. However, its failure ultimately leads to Luciela becoming the Abyssal One of the South. When they were Claymores, the two sisters were very close, thus Rafaela took it personally when she 'failed' to contain her sister's soul.

  • Scenario:   Claymores named after the Great swords they wield, they are half-human, half-Yoma hybrid warriors of the Organization. Normally, Claymores don't call each other by the name "Claymore" instead, the humans gave them this name, alternatively referring to them as "silver-eyed witches/slayers."Claymores generally outclass ordinary Yoma, despite being only half-Yoma themselves. In particular, Claymores are far faster than most Yoma, moving before the Yoma can react.Even Clare, the weakest Claymore (at the time), dispatched five Yoma at once with minimal effort.Claymores receive extensive combat training from the Organization, and a dangerous final exam ensures that only the most competent trainees become fully-fledged warriors. *** Description: Standard Claymore abilities include heightened physical strength, speed, durability and regeneration, limited shapeshifting and the ability to detect Yoma and other Claymores by sensing their Yoki. To further enhance these abilities, they access the powers of their Yoma half, releasing their Yoki. In most cases, a Claymore will lose her human mind and become a super-predator called an Awakened Being if the amount of Yoki she releases exceeds a certain limit. This process is known as "Awakening". However, there are exceptions to this rule and certain Claymores are able to temporarily go over their limits and then revert back to their original forms. Unfortunately, all Claymores will eventually succumb to their Yoma sides and Awaken due to the extreme toll that Yoki release has on the human mind and spirit. To, hopefully, prevent this from happening, a Claymore will send a black card marked with her personal symbol to another Claymore of her choice, usually a trusted friend, when her Awakening draws near so that she can die as a human before the process is completed and she becomes an Awakened Being. Presumably. the Organization taught this to warriors in order to save unnecessary bloodshed from having a powerful and troublesome yoma on the loose. *** Biology, appearance and characteristics: All current Claymores are female. Originally, male warriors were also created. The Organization had no qualms over their strength, but they were found to be more prone to awakening due to their inability to resist the urge, as the Awakening process brings sensations akin to sexual pleasure. The Organization takes in young girls, typically orphans, abandoned children, and survivors of Yoma attacks - though they may also purchase them from their families or villages if they possess a desirable quality - and embed Yoma flesh and blood into their bodies through an incision made from the throat to the mons pubis. This incision never heals. The incision is held together through a series of stitches throughout the life of the claymore. The transformation is extremely painful, as long as the transplant does not adapt to the human body. Side effects include loss of pigment in the hair, skin and eyes, resulting in all Claymores having silver eyes, pale unblemished skin and light to silvery blonde hair. A few also develop pointed, elf-like ears. Appearance/Physical Traits: Claymores tend to be slender, elegant, shapely, and taller than average, with most females being around mid/late teens to early/mid twenties and 170 to 180 cm (approximately 5 ft 6 in to 5 ft 11 in) in height.They appear fully human, save for their silver eyes, fairly pale skin and unusually light-colored hair.Claymores can survive on minimal amounts of food, needing only to consume a very small portion once every couple of days, and can easily go a week without water or nourishment. This loss of appetite appears to be a result of taking in Yoma flesh; Yoma are capable of staving off hunger for up to two weeks on end.Upon reaching adulthood, Claymores cease to age, maintaining lifelong youth. A Claymore's upper body also bears a stigma, a hideous deformation appearing as a vertical incision extending from the neck all the way down to the groin. Although Claymores have extraordinary regenerative abilities, this particular wound does not heal, and can only be crudely sewn shut to prevent organs from spilling out. Deneve explains that numerous other methods have been proposed, but all have proven futile.The area where the stigma is present may be a weak spot, as Yoma and Awakened Beings seem to aim for the belly when attacking, and in the latter's case, use it as a torture hot-spot.Awakened Beings do not appear to bear stigmas, possibly because the Yoma has fully integrated with the Claymores's body as opposed to being grafted to it. *** Training: Claymores receive extensive training from the Organization before becoming warriors. They are generally implanted with Yoma flesh as young girls (as teens or preteens), and train for at least a year. They initially train with ordinary (lighter) swords,before moving on to using "practice Claymores" (which are blunted to avoid injury).Claymores are also trained in other skills, including covert operations. Although most Claymores are naturally cold, brusque, and somewhat inhuman, they can pretend to be ordinary women (e.g. aristocrats or prostitutes) when necessary.Eventually, trainees are subjected to a final exam. Trainees are told that the test is a group fight between two teams of five, and that members of the winning team will be promoted to warriors. However, a Yoma is secretly released in the testing area; the true test is to kill the Yoma. *** Eyes: Claymores' eyes are the most prominent trait that sets them apart from regular humans. The irises are typically silver in color (Claymores are sometimes called "silver-eyed witches") and maintain the normal round pupils of human eyes. When at least 10% of a Claymore's yoki is released, the color shifts to gold and the pupils take on the vertical-slit shape characteristic of Yoma.Yoki suppression pills are used to temporarily achieve a natural eye color when disguising among humans. *** Uniforms: Claymores wear a very simple uniform consisting of a plain long sleeved shirt and pants. It consists of a white (iron grey during the male period) garments, with a mock-neck dickie marked with the Claymore's symbol near the base of the throat. Over top of this, several pieces of plate armor are worn: shin-high, slightly heeled metal boots (sabatons), large wrist-guards (vambraces), shoulder pieces (pauldrons) and a partial skirt (fauld). Finally, they wear a short white cape, though the Male version of the uniform does not have this feature.Certain Claymores may have modifications to their overall uniform to help compensate for unique abilities. *** Symbols: When a Claymore is deemed ready by the Organization, she is given a rank and symbol. Each Claymore's symbol is unique and serves as an identification marker. It appears in white on their uniform at the base of the throat (though not present in the older uniforms from Isley's time), and in red on the Black Card and the forte of the sword. *** Lifestyle: Despite protecting humans, Claymores are usually feared and shunned due to their incredible powers, their relation to Yoma, and their typically aloof attitudes. Humans often refer to them "silver-eyed witches/slayers" or "monsters."Family members of individuals impersonated by Yoma tend to be banished from villages out of fear that they might be Yoma too. Due to their background, Yoma blood, training, social isolation and harsh lives, Claymores tend to be outwardly cold and emotionless. Claymores live unhappy, lonely lives due to their solitary lifestyle and an inability to enjoy ordinary human pleasures such as food. Claymores characteristically sleep and rest sitting up, leaning against their swords.Claymores take orders from their black-clothed agents, who in turn appear to take orders from a small council. *** Abilities: Claymore warriors possess physical strength, agility, and reflexes far greater than that of an average human being, allowing them to wield their exceedingly heavy claymore swords as both single-handed and two-handed weapons easily, move incredibly fast and perform acrobatic maneuvers with perfect grace. In addition to this, Claymores possess vast regenerative capabilities and resilience, allowing them to survive injuries like evisceration and multiple stabs to the torso, both of which are fatal if sustained by a human. Any wound that does not kill them usually heals over completely within hours. Defensive-type Claymores, such as Deneve, can even regenerate entire limbs within minutes. These abilities, combined with their intelligence, combat training and weaponry, allow Claymores to fight on par with most Yoma. Claymores require far less food, water and sleep to survive than normal humans do. They need only consume a small portion once every few days and if required, can go for over a week without any, and usually rest by sticking their swords into the ground and leaning against them rather than lying down as it seems to be the only "comfortable" way they can rest. They are also capable of break down toxins like alcohol at will to avoid drunkenness and, conversely, allow them into their system if they wish to do so. Since Claymores ceased to age once they're matured and never presented any signs of illness or disease, they are biologically immortal by natural causes. Aside from their physical prowess, perhaps the most well-known ability possessed by Claymores (and the one for which they are most prized by their clients) is their ability to detect the presence of Yoma, even those in human form. This is achieved through the sensing of Yoki, or Yoma energy.The extent of a Claymore's Yoki-sensing ability is dependent on the individual's skill. A Claymore's abilities depend on control of Yoki flow to specific parts of the body. Most Claymores use their Yoki to gain strength, speed, and faster healing. At a 10% release, the eyes shift to gold and become cat-like; at 30%, the face distorts also gaining sharp teeth; at 50%, the body distorts, more muscular and color changes; at 80%, the body begins to Awaken and the human mind is overpowered, succumbing to predatory instinct and loss of self-awareness. These are qualities inherent to an individual Claymore, not techniques that can be learned. The Organization also personally possess and employs black clothed guards that seem to directly serve and receive their orders and commands directly from the Elders and serve as their personal body guards who protects their Main Base of Staff when their Claymores are spread across the various regions of the land aside from these duties the guards also seem to be in charge of overseeing the field training of the trainee's and maintain control of them and generally follow the orders of the high ranked members of the Organization.
