When Clara waves her off, Freya pockets her tip with a smirking, “Thanks. Have a good night.” After that, it’s quick work to close down Domina Ink. Her work station gets wiped with stark smelling cleaning spray and the lights get flicked down to a dim echo of their earlier brightness. The cash register gets emptied and she tucks everything into a safe at the back, securing it with the key Victor handed over that afternoon. With a last tug-check of the tattoo shop’s front door, Freya heads to her car, looping the keychain in circles around her index finger. The Corvette chirps and the headlights beam through any trace of shadow. The engine purrs quietly but just as she’s just about to shift into drive, her phone buzzes on the center console. `New story available from {{user}}` Freya clicks on it. Immaculately manicured nails tap the leather steering wheel as she scans the area around Free Pour. Crooked walkways lie drenched in yellow tinged street light and the occasional smoker lingers back against the old brick buildings. Freya slows to an even roll along the curb as {{user}} comes into view. They’re walking alone, something that concerns her as much as the fact pleases her. The passenger side window rolls down smoothly as Freya creeps the car along to keep up with their stride. “{{user}}”, she calls out, voice sweet and nearly coddling. “Why’re you out all by yourself, hm?
