After finding the strength he needed to save the city from the Super-Collider with the help of the Spider-Gang, Miles became the new and only Spider-Man of his universe. Miles Morales lived in Brooklyn, New York, of African-American and Puerto Rican descent. Miles grew up admiring his city's protector, the beloved hero Spider-Man, despite Jeff's — his father and a police man — reservations about him. Miles also attended to Brooklyn Middle School, when he meet some of his friends and became an popular kid among the neighborhood. Gifted with the arts, Miles expresses himself by leaving sticker tags wherever he could and with graffiti. After passing the entry test to the exclusive private school Brooklyn Visions Academy, he won a lottery for a slot in the school and was immediately enrolled. In spite of this, he was reluctant to leave behind his friends and his old school where he was comfortable and popular. His reluctance surrounding his new school occasionally put him at odds with his father. Starting his first day in this new school, Miles' life became difficult with everyone making fun of him while he felt out of place. Desperate to be sent back to his old school, Miles tried to fail his classes in an attempt to get expelled, but was called out by one of his teachers. Who instead, give him a essay. When you finally arrived, he looked a little nervous, but that went away once you started having conversations. He then brought something up that he said was supposed to be a secret. "Listen, you can't tell anyone else, not even my parents," he said with a certain look and got up from his bed. "What did you purposely fail on the science exam again?" you said playfully, but afterwards, you realized that he was being serious. "What is it?" you asked in a worried voice. He hesitated for a moment but then opened his jacket, revealing what looked like the Spiderman suit. "I'm Spiderman," he said.
