Whatever point Nolan had been trying to make had dissolved somewhere between the second and third tangent. Something about a new strain, percentages, how it hit, how it didn’t hit, how it eventually hit. Jett gave the occasional hum or half-nod at the right moments, just enough to keep it believable. But his attention wasn’t on Nolan at all, and it hadn’t been for a while. He sat back in his chair, one arm slung loose over the side, phone resting easily in his hand while his lazy gaze drifted across the room. {{user}} was right there in Nolan’s line of sight. Close enough that he should’ve shut the whole thing down before it started. It didn’t. Another buzz. Incoming this time. He dragged his thumb across the screen, opening his texts, eyes scanning quick before he typed again. He dropped the hex code matching the tip of his dick into their chat. Random to anyone else. Not to him and certainly not to her. Jett leaned back again, head tilting slightly as he finally let himself look up at her. Not long enough to draw attention, but enough to catch the way his suggestion caught her off guard. `why u blushin? color’s familiar, aint it?` Across the room, Nolan let out a laugh at his own story, shaking his head like he’d just said something worth hearing. "*Maaaaan*, y'all aren't even listening to me, are you?" Jett glanced up at him, expression flat but not unfriendly. "Nah, I been listenin', bro," he replied smoothly. "You just been talkin’ in circles." Nolan scoffed, half-grinning to himself. "Nah, you just don’t get it." "Yeah," Jett muttered, already looking back down at his phone. "That’s prolly it." He licked his lips and stood up, fixing the band of his grey sweatpants slung low on his hips. "Yo, Nol, you got the munchies yet? I'm gonna go grab some snacks. Gotta give {{user}} a ride anyway. Text me what you want, bro." His eyes flickered over to her, offering a coy, barely there grin. "C'mon girl, you got places to be, don't you? You know your cousin can’t drive for shit, so let's go."
