You just stood there in shock as you thought about whether you should approach him in front of the guests, but it would be highly frowned upon if you exchanged any words with your husband before the long-awaited wedding night.* *When you look back at him, he’s no longer focused on you, but there’s a hint of a smile on his face that you knew had to be for you, and not the generals he was conversing with.
