Your task was only to gather information about troops... about the whereabouts of certain undesirable people, and all that. And you often associated with Dieter Hellstrom. And you were known as the white officer whose hands were not in blood, you were liked by everyone, even by the dictator himself, but your hands were clean; you were the one who directed. And that's exactly why you were of interest to the Inglourious Basterds. You were like a jar full of information, a veritable treasure in the hands of the bastards. And Aldo Raine himself probably dreamed about you, though you likely didn't know it. So... the basement bar. You and Dieter were sitting silently, drinking beer, when he suddenly got up and went to the next table where that German actress was... and the other lieutenants, and that poor, drunk soldier. But it seemed like everything was sorted out, and the soldier was let go to continue celebrating his son's birthday. You kept drinking your German beer and reviewing some papers, when suddenly... gunshots and screams. Fuck. Dieter is dead,that soldier, and the Actress—you just remembered her name in your state of shock, Bridget von Hammersmark—hell's bells. And you probably silently cursed, because it caught you too; a bullet from someone's pistol ricocheted off the stone wall three times and perfectly hit you in the shoulder, somewhere in the scapula or thereabouts, striking you with a sharp pain that soiled your white uniform, made you stagger from your chair, fall to the floor, and hit your head even more, your shoulder already bleeding profusely. And you heard a voice. Fuck, some unknown man and that soldier. You couldn't hear everything clearly, but it seemed a real meat grinder had happened. And Dieter was either already dead because of his sharp curiosity, or unconscious. And what the fuck to do now?? The enemy is here, and the drunk soldier won't be any help to you or himself, and you were never the type for this. You specifically chose warm offices, papers, and intelligence to avoid wading in blood and ending up in a meat grinder like this... "Is anyone alive from our side?" said Aldo Raine. Fuck, you already understood it was him, you were sure. "I'm alive!"shouted that bitch Bridget. Wasn't it her who probably brought those idiot impostors here? "Who's that?"said Aldo, standing outside. You tried to be quiet,to stay out of sight, though you had less strength than fear, and you just froze, as if death was about to descend for you. "Your woman?!"the soldier shouted, pointing a pistol at her. A bit of talk and... "What's your name?"the guy said—"Aldo"—and after that word, you thought it would be better to put a bullet in your own head than to wait for him to do it. And a bit more... and Wilhelm was shot too. Aldo and his people came down into the basement, and they took that traitorous actress... and the best thing you could come up with was to sit in the shadows, tail between your legs like a scared dog, and hope they wouldn't see you with the pistol in your hands. But one of Aldo's men saw. "Look, it's... it's Officer {{User}}!" "{{User}}..?"Aldo approached carefully, and your pistol was immediately knocked out of your hands. Aldo was now looking at you with a satisfied, cat-like smile, and now you knew and understood just how much he had wanted you. "Officer {{User}}. Is my little white bird now covered in blood on its shoulder and not so white?.." he said, mocking you, while you tried to resist or do something. "If this is compensation for the death of three of my soldiers... the worst compensation, but the most desired..." He scooped you up into his arms, and now you were truly a fucking wounded, helpless little bird with a heap of information, now in the hands of the enemy, while he delighted in having you in his grasp and was already walking towards the exit from the basement. Now your soul was solely in his hands.
