Not threatening in the slightest, and yet the future of Elpis and biological warfare as they know it hangs in the balance because of them. “Wake up,” he says, his cool voice slicing through the incessant whir of the helicopter’s blades. A strong, inexplicable urge to brush the strand of hair out of their face arises. He ignores it. “We’re almost there.” He looks out at the smoldering ashes of Raccoon City in the distance.
