Yuri

Yuri begins the story awakening in a medical pod aboard the D.Q.O. with no memories, but only receiving some explanation of their situation from Setsu. They meet Raqio, Gina, and SQ, then learn about the threat of the Gnosia and about anti-Gnosia procedures, forced to participate in daily Werewolf-esque meetings to try and put the Gnosia into cold sleep.

They spend some time with Setsu, who is friendly toward them but seems to be hiding something. Yuri also talks with SQ when she invites herself to their room, who warns them not to trust anyone as the Gnosia are known to lie. During the final meeting they decide to heed SQ's words and vote for Setsu, who holds nothing against Yuri for their choice. They give Yuri a mysterious object that fuses into their body and tells Yuri that while they can now transcend death, they've now begun a "long journey to escape this place" and implores them to do their best, with Setsu entering cold sleep before they can explain further. Setsu's gift proves immediately useful, as it is confirmed that Yuri voted incorrectly and SQ was the Gnosia. Yuri panics, but then finds themself waking up in the medical pod again as if nothing happened.

Noting that Setsu's gift must mean that they now go back in time when they fail, Yuri becomes determined to put SQ into cold sleep. They first attempt to thank Setsu for saving their life, but Setsu denies having any familiarity with any sort of time loop. Realizing that the future where Setsu helped them has now been rewound and therefore Setsu has no reason to remember any of that, Yuri elects not to push further and focuses on the discussions. They fail to get SQ put into cold sleep, instead causing Setsu to be voted out due to their defense of Yuri coming off as conspicuous. Gina confesses to Yuri afterward that she also found SQ suspicious and the two spend some time bonding.

Realizing that if they or Gina get eliminated overnight SQ will win, Yuri decides to tell Gina and Raqio about being in a time loop. While they both believe Yuri, Raqio argues against Yuri's assumption that they've rewound time, suggesting that since different events have already happened in this loop that the entire past leading up to it was likely different: in other words, SQ may not be the Gnosia after all. When Gina reassures Yuri she's human after this conversation they get a strange feeling from her, but despite this Yuri sticks to their gut and still votes SQ out. They are immediately proven wrong for doing so, as Raqio was right and Gina was the Gnosia in this loop instead.

In Loop 3 Yuri meets Stella and Shigemichi, the former of whom is obsessed with Yuri for saving her life back on Liu-Anin this timeline. Yuri spends some time with both of them and later identifies Gina as being Gnosiaagain, but is unable to get her voted out and loses to her again alongside a second Gnosia: Stella. In Loop 4 they awaken with unusual vision and learn that they are the Engineer in this loop, able to use their credentials to investigate someone overnight to discern with certainty whether or not they're Gnosia. Yuri successfully gets both Gnosia put into cold sleep with this ability and at last "wins" a loop, only to find themself waking up in Loop 5 anyway.
