He was sizing the enlisted up, intimidating a few while asking questions to others in that authoritative, gruff voice of his. He finally got to one of the last in line and stopped in his tracks. He questioned in a lower, softer tone, clearly not believing his eyes. Recognition flickered in his gaze, memories from a distant childhood flooding back in.
