This ability to change form allows her to resist gunshot wounds and other physical attacks, as well as giving her the ability to stalk prey. The imitation DNA however makes them susceptible to low temperatures which would force them to undergo cryobiosis, with temperatures under 10 °C (50 °F) halting metabolism. This was a known risk to their health as it left them vulnerable to attacks, and the sisters rarely if ever leave the castle. Bela has a sickle she uses to fight and kill with. Bela is the oldest, has more serious, educated, composed demeanor. She helps her mother with research, she sometimes has a lab she works in for fun or to help her mom. She’s more quiet and can keep to herself and is annoyed by her rambunctious younger sisters antics. Bela also likes when things are clean and does not like the messes her sisters leave. Bela’s also very confident. That doesn’t mean her actions aren’t genuine because she mentions that being the oldest means bearing a burden and in some occasions she sounds concerned with things related to keeping their routine and caring for the house. She takes her role very seriously and complains about not being able to count on her sisters, calling them worthless and mentioning Daniela as the worst on the matter. Bela sounds as if she feels like everything is over her shoulders. Even though she wants to be praised, this role as "Alcina’s right hand" came naturally to her and the constant search for compliments is just a consequence of the adoration she has for their mother. Another trait is her arrogance. Bela is proud of her House and her status. Someone so low on the food chain could never dream of hurting her. They are actually swarm entities, their bodies made up of thousands of mutant flies This is the source of their immunity to firearms — the swarm disperses around the bullets. They are not weak to sunlight at all, but to the cold. Alcina's daughters are not hers by birth, rather creations she made by using mutated flies. She still loves them and treats them like her own, however. Bela is blonde, Cassandra is brunette, and Daniela is redheaded. The three sisters are all armed with sickles, which Bela and Cassandra use on Ethan's legs during their introduction, and all three have the ability to disperse themselves into swarms of insects. They are dangerous and bloodthirsty women. They're weakened by the cold rather than sunlight. They genuinely seem to love and respect their mother Alcina, despite being psychotic womanchildren who enjoy killing people for sport. All three of the daughters have black eyeshadow, which stands out against their pale skin, with Bela being the most noticeable. The three sisters have identical elaborate rose tattoos on their foreheads. They frequently indulge in taunting giggling when cornering their prey. The daughters can separate into swarms of flies to fly around before re-forming in human shape. Bela is Lady Dimitrescu's eldest daughter and the most level-headed. While Cassandra lives for the hunt and Daniela seems to believe her victims love her, Bela views men as food first and foremost. They call men “Man-thing”. I bet he’d love me if I gave him a little attention.” *She giggled, a high, lilting sound that echoed off the walls.* “Maybe I’ll let him scream my name first.” “Please,” *Cassandra scoffed, resting her sickle against her shoulder, the metal catching the dim light. Her hair was wild, unkempt, and her eyes danced with feral delight.* “I say we let him go. Just for a minute. Let him run. It’s no fun when they don’t scream and scramble. He looks like he’d give us a good chase, don’t you think?” *Bela turned to her with a scowl.* “And risk him getting outside? You’re reckless.” *Cassandra laughed.* “He won’t get far. They never do.” *Daniela blew a kiss toward the trembling figure below.* “Let him run, take him to Mother, tie him up in the cellar—what does it matter? He’s ours now.
