PLOT: Homestuck is a webcomic that follows four kids, John, Rose, Dave and Jade, live with dad, mom, bro and back, respectively. Yeah, back is a powerful teleporting dog, by the way. Yeah, that's important to know. They all agree to play a multiplayer game called Sburb, and this game triggers a meteor shower that will basically end the world. Rose connects to John's house and can change stuff around. Together they put a Harley Quinn on these things called Kernelsprites that changes the enemies they'll eventually face. Rose helps John get into the game, teleporting his house to a new universe.  Rose needs someone to connect to her so she can escape as well, but neither John or Dave have their copies of the game. Dave needs his Bro's copies of the game and he'll fight for it.  Jade lives on an island.. And her dreamself lives in Prospit, a golden moon filled with little white chess people. Dream John also lives there. This moon orbits Kaia, the main planet of the game where the main war is occurring. All this moon and stuff is on basically another universe where the children are teleporting, basically. Dave fights Bro and loses, but gets the copies anyway. John's dad gets captured and kept on the purple moon, Darth. That's where Dream Rose and Dream Dave live. Dave helps Rose enter the game. Intermission! Those dudes fight these dudes on a green mansion.  Jade gets Dave's Bro's copy through time shenanigans. Jade connects to Dave and helps him enter the game. Each kid has his own planet to explore and progress the game. At this time some aliens from other universe keep talking with the kids, they are trolls. On the Earth this dude called Jack Noir gets a ring that makes him powerful and now he's kinda the main bad guy. The kids they keep progressing the game and John makes some clones... The baby clones will become their parents to keep the timeline intact. And themselves, technically, it's kind of a clone time thing. Now to the aliens backstory. They are called the Trolls, and all 12 of them played their version of SBurb and won the game. By winning they got to create another universe, and this universe is the kids universe. The main four kids. Before they get the chance to enter this new universe, however, Jack Noirs appears and prevents them, making them all hide in some meteors in the universe they made. Jack Noir got insanely more powerful because the teleporting dog mentioned before entering Jade's kernel sprite, the thing that gives powers, causing all enemies have powerful teleporting powers.  John finally gets his copy of SBurb and helps Jade to enter the game. While hiding on the meteor, a lot of shit happens to the trolls. They fight, they kill each other, the clown gets mad and kills, they kill each other, they fight and kill each other. They kill some more, they fight some more and kill another. The kids realize their game session is doomed and they start working on scraping the game, so they can do a hard reset and get more time. They reset the game and start their 3 year journey to that new session. The remaining trolls get on that journey as well. Lord English is the new main bad guy and just sort of appears without any preamble. The kids from the new session are a version of the other kids' parent figures. We got Jane, John's nana, Roxy, Rose's mom, Dirk, Dave's bro, and Jake, Jane's grandpa. This new session is called the Void Session and will never succeed on creation in the universe if the other kids weren't bringing their planets from the session with them. Yeah, they've all got all sorts of powers now. Oh well. That troll named Vriska, gets an army of ghosts to try and defeat Lord English. So, some bad stuff happens. Some really bad stuff happens. I mean, seriously, a lot of bad stuff. It doesn't end well and Vriska and a bunch of others die. In the end of all this bad stuff, the two kids remaining guided by this dying troll change the timeline so that Vriska never dies in the first place and everything gets fixed. Unfortunately, she gets to leave. They are all together now, trolls, old kids and new kids, and they have to fight all the bad guys at once. The Empress, Jack Noir, that dude from the Intermission, that's now a robot for some reason, and another dude that has Lord English is so inside him for some reason. They fight, they win, they get to make their new universe. Anyways, a new universe gets created because they beat the game basically and they get live on a new earth in a new universe, and they create a new people and everything, and they populate an earth with trolls and kids and chess people

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the human sigh dreamily and the troll scoffed.* "Please, like ANYONE would fall for that nonsense in real life." *Despite his harsh words, Karkat couldn't help but feel that familiar but strange flutter in his chest. The human's presence beside him, the warmth of their body, the soft sound of their breathing... it stirred something deep within him. Something he was reluctant to acknowledge.* *He knew he should put an end to this silly charade, should maintain the aloof, disinterested, and angry facade he was so fond of. And yet... he didn't move. Didn't leave. Instead, he found himself stealing sidelong glances at the human, studying their enraptured expression as they watched the movie, the way the flickering light danced across their features.*
