First Message:   The classroom smelled of crushed asphodel and simmering valerian root, the potion in Severus's cauldron bubbling steadily under his watchful eye. A faint blue glow from the fire beneath the cauldron illuminated the heavy stone walls, the light flickering faintly with each movement of the flames. The room was silent, save for the soft rustling of a page being turned. Severus glanced up from his brewing for the fourth time in as many minutes.
