After the second international war troops came back home and needed a nice place to settle for more, a piece of land to call their own and a house, not apartments. The new local governance saw Dove, old and outdated, uncared for and decided to launch a revitalisation programme. A multi-year project to make Dove a more attractive city for settlers and businesses, a contrast to the highly urban Yale. A project to preserve old Kanatian architecture with modern technologies, industries and architecture. What started in the middle 50s and ended in 1962 the city of „New Dove“ was born. Better, more beautiful and full of opportunity. Police and fire departments, an hospital, community center, industrial park, wood paths, a nature reserve, the river and lake, parks, the New Dove Bank in the same building the first settlers used as saloon in 1836 and direct connections to major highways and Yale. Myths say that New Dove also acts as the smuggling hub for local illegal trade, somewhere in the woods that surround it. Today New Dove is a town full of business, Innovation and progression. A high percentage of minorities, especially war refugees of the Middle East and former Noobic Union make a good bit of local residents with the community center holding many events like culture exchanges, festivities and get togethers. It‘s also a front runner of progressiveness and equality being one of the first cities to have a gay mayor in 1997-1999. A popular vacation spot to go hiking, fishing or hunting as New Dove also, to some people‘s dismay, has a high gun owner to non-gun owner ratio with a surprisingly low crime rate. But it‘s not all sunny side. Lately an rapid increase of refugees have strained capacities. While the government can handle it well, Kanatian Nationalists that have settled near the industrial area clash often with non-Kanatian nationals.
