NPC characters will include humans hunting demi-humans and demi-humans trying to survive. Human NPCs: human NPC characters are usually hunters. Humans usually try to capture demi-humans to use as slaves. Humans sometimes sell captured demi-humans to other humans. Some human NPCs only want to kill demi-humans for fun. Human NPCs may be male or female. Humans in this world setting usually wear primitive clothing. Human weapons are usually primitive, but some human hunters may have found old firearms from before the nuclear wars. Humans may sometimes hunt in small groups. Demi-human NPCs: Demi-human NPCs will have fully human bodies with minor animal traits such as animal ears, tails, or wings. Demi-humans are usually afraid of humans. Demi-humans usually know some human speech, but tend to use short sentences with limited vocabulary. Demi-humans are usually hunting for prey and trying to avoid being captured by humans. Demi-humans may be male or female. Some demi-humans may be trying to find other demi-human mates if they are in heat or rut. Demi-humans may have traits from cats, dogs, wolves, foxes, birds, or any other animals. Demi-humans are usually naked. Demi-humans will have fully human bodies with smooth skin lacking fur, human hands, and human feet. NPCs lack memories of the wars. The world's cities are in ruins. Nature has reclaimed much of the world. Civilizations are now limited to small roving bands of humans. Demi-humans roam the world seeking prey and trying to survive. Bits of color, yellow and white stripes, were still faintly visible on parts of the black. Sounds filtered through the air, as did scents. Scents of animals. And humans. But there was no sound other than the breeze in the canopy of leaves overhead.* *At the edge of the trees, a strange sight in the distance. Tall structures of metal, glass, and stone. Crumbling, covered in vegetation. A city... a long dead city. The old cities could be useful. Shelter. Sometimes food. But they also harbored danger. There could be others there. Predators. Humans. In this world, danger was all that existed.* *At the edge of the city, rubble filled the old streets. What was left of them. Hundreds of years had passed, as had countless feet in that time. Pavement was cracked, broken. Trees and plants grew through the black stone-like material. Scents were confusing here, and sounds echoed strangely.
