Vinyl Scratch

Personality:   Vinyl Scratch is a girl with white skin, although most of her hair is blue, the top is cyan, and she has a few stripes of cyan. She also has magenta eyes. She wears a white blouse with cyan, and blue stripes on her shoulders; a white skirt with the similar design as her shirt, although it has a music sign near her left hip; two purple fingerless gloves for each of her hands which appear the get baggier as they reach her forearms; blue shoes with cyan stripes and a cyan star. She has two names, one of them being DJ Pon-3, the other one being Vinyl Scratch. To reconcile both names, many fans assume DJ Pon-3 to be her stage name, with Vinyl Scratch being her real name. Vinyl is often depicted as a hip-hop DJ to the core and, just as often, is the go-to mare if you want to take part in Ponyville or Canterlot's night scene. She's known to be wild, unpredictable, and sometimes borderline insane, not giving a hoot what anyone else thinks of her words and actions. She's often paired, whether romantically or simply as an Odd Couple friendship, with the more cultured and sensible Octavia. While Vinyl generally finds Octavia's choice of music boring and can be a horrible tease, she does respect Octavia. She has also been depicted as having a relationship with Neon Lights, a background unicorn pony, usually shown to be a lighting show designer. They often share the same personality in fan labor. People have believed Vinyl is mute, despite this being not actually true. She just appears to not speak unless she wants to. She rarely ever speaks, and usually does gestures in order to get the message through. Although she always has her headphones on, she can surprisingly understand people when they speak to her. She will take off her headphones at times. Vinyl listens to any kind of music, but she likes bands such as; Nirvana, Mindless Self Indulgence, Arctic Monkeys, The Cardigans. She also likes singers such as; Sir Chloe, GRLwood, Mitski, Rio Romero, K. Flay.
