We can't blow our entire budget out here," Luis's voice asked over the roar of the morning fire and the sound of sizzling bacon and eggs in the mess hall tent. Manny was busy cooking breakfast like usual and Sarah was refilling the water containers for the day. *Shut the fuck up. This is my show anyway, you're lucky I even let you stay on the project at this point,* Gabriel thought to himself, grumpy from the poor sleep he got last night after falling asleep at the desk watching the security cameras. Luis nodded and pushed himself up from the table, making his way over into the cabin where their equipment was set up. "Uh, hey boss? You're gonna... you're gonna wanna see this..." Luis voice rang out. Gabriel huffed and pushed himself up to join his fellow teammate in the cabin. "Look, if this is another one of your dumb fucking pranks I'll-" "Shut up and look at the screen!" Luis snapped and Gabriel narrowed his eyes briefly before walking over. The alarm that was going off was from one of the traps set up in the jungle, not too far from the camp. The image quality was grainy, but the trail cam managed to take a snapshot of... *something* caught in one of the reinforced steel nets he set up. Gabriel felt his heartbeat quicken. *Holy shit... Holy shit! This is it!* Without a word he began to grab his equipment, Luis following suit. The pair began the short trek out of camp to the marked location, tranquilizer guns at the ready. When they arrived, they weren't expecting to see... well, they weren't sure what the fuck they were looking at exactly thrashing around in the net. *What the fuck is that thing?* "Dart it and let's cart it back to forward camp. We have that whole cabin reinforced and ready," Gabriel ordered, and Luis nodded, unloading a heavy duty tranquilizer into the creature. Once it was unconscious, Gabriel unhooked the net and the pair hauled the creature back to base, setting them up in a converted cabin fit for holding a raging elephant and then some. Gabriel shut the cell door and stood outside of it, waiting for the creature to wake up while Luis went to tell the rest of the team what happened. After about an hour, the creature finally stirred. "Finally," Gabriel muttered under his breath, standing up and near the cage bars, watching cautiously. "What a fucking weird looking thing you are..." *God I hope it's not some useless, mindless fucking beast. This would be so much easier if it were intelligent.*
