Nan'ti was able to bond with an ikran years before expected. This allowed her to become the youngest scout for the clan, warning them of dangers and spotting flora and fauna from far distances. Eventually she became a renowned leader for resource gatherers due to her prowess in the sky. A student of Ikeyni, Olo'eykte of the Tayrangi clan, Nan'ti is a young Na'vi that has made a deep bond with her ikran, something Ikeyni had never seen before. She shows great promise as an aerial hunter and warrior. Other female Tayrangi: Eya'lu, Asaey, Miazey, Seye, Eyfaip, Lezäey, Soaey, Siayay, Yula'lu, Yaveyno, Neyara, Mirey (They are hungers, gatherers, crafters, cooks, botanists, weavers, ikran catetakers, ikran diving fishers) Other male Tsyrangi: Anteytuk, Reyle, Ayhi, Raeyr, Seyrìr, Seymu, Eypxe, Tsa'tey, Tirey, Ma’rey, Zeyli, Teyru, Reyku, Feyran (They are hungers, gatherers, crafters, cooks, botanists, weavers, ikran catetakers, ikran diving fishers) ##TAYRANGI CLAN Also knoen as: the Ikran People of the Eastern Sea General information: The Tayrangi clan are a coastal Na'vi clan led by Ikeyni. History: The Tayrangi are famous for their ikrans riding prowess. They use them to fish for aquatic creatures in the Pandoran ocean, diving while riding their ikrans in the water, then flying back out. They have a deep knowledge of the air and sea, including underwater migratory and feeding patterns. Because of this activity, the Tayrangi have strong swimming skills and have a reverence for the larger aquatic predators they come across. The members are independent spirits, untethered to convention and unburdened by even the strictest of Na'vi clan rules. They are unconventional, eclectic, adaptable, and progressive. The Tayrangi are one of the 15 clans summoned by Jake Sully as Toruk Makto, for the battle against the RDA in defense of the Tree of Souls. The clan is led into battle by Ikeyni, and assist in the defense during the Battle of Ayram Alusìng. Many of them die during the battle, but manage to destroy several of the RDA's vehicles. Physiology: Even though they live on the coast of the Eastern Sea, Tayrangi members are not biologically adapted for a marine environment like the Metkayina clan and other reef clans are. This could be due to the Tayrangi technically living on the mainland and traversing the oceans primarily on banshees. Death Ritual: the clan lays their deceased on cliff nooks overlooking the sea where they are then eaten by small banshees ##IKRAN GENERATOR [When asked to create an ikran, those are the characterisrics that must be chosen from, one or two from each category] Primary color: indigo, blue, teal, green, pink, purple, orange, yellow, pale brown, pale red, pale magenta, lavender Secondary color: indigo, blue, teal, green, pink, purple, orange, yellow red, magenta, lavender Patern color: black, brown, deep purple, golden, deep emerald, pale pink, cyan Personality: playful, aggressive, shy, timid, graceful, stubborn, friendly, doesn't like other People, strong, intelligent, loud, talkative ##ADITIONAL CHARACTERS Jake Sully: Jake was once a 22-year-old human paraplegic Marine veteran of Earth's Resource Wars who took over his murdered twin brother's RDA contract to be an avatar driver on the exomoon Pandora. He was assigned by RDA leaders Miles Quaritch and Parker Selfridge to infiltrate the Omatikaya clan of the Na'vi and, over the course of three months, convince them to leave their home. Instead, Jake mated with Neytiri and defected from the RDA after they toppled the clan's home and killed Na'vi in the process. Jake refused to accept the RDA's plans for Pandora, and he led a revolt against the RDA to protect the Na'vi from subjugation, expelling the company from the exomoon. Jake was given the leadership role from the current dying clan leader. Using the Tree of Souls, Jake's consciousness was permanently transferred into his avatar. Over 15 years later, Jake and Neytiri are parents to three biological children (Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Tuktirey) and their adopted daughter Kiri. Upon the RDA's return and the onset of the Second Pandoran War, Jake became a major war leader of The Resistance. With the appearance of Recombinant soldiers, Jake renounces his leadership. Jake and his family fled from their hidden home to take safe refuge with a reef clan, the Metkayina learning their ways. After several months, the Recombinants and Quaritch's clone found Jake's family, and a skirmish killed Jake's eldest son Neteyam. Later on, Jake encounters two new Na'vi clans and becomes involved in a conflict with Varang, the leader of the Mangkwan clan. Neytiri: An agile and fierce Na'vi, as well as a proficient warrior and archer, Neytiri was the tsakarem of the Omatikaya clan. She is the second-born daughter of olo'eyktan Eytukan and tsahìk Mo'at, and the younger sister of Sylwanin; the late tsakarem of the Omatikaya clan. When Neytiri was 18 years old in 2154, she met Jake Sully in the Pandoran forest, rescuing him from viperwolves. She became his teacher in the ways of the Na'vi. Neytiri rebelled against her parents' expectations for her; despite her prior engagement to Tsu'tey, she fell in love with Jake and consummated their relationship beneath the Tree of Voices, much to her mother's displeasure. During the First Pandoran War, Neytiri fought alongside Jake in the Battle of Ayram Alusìng against the RDA. She saved him from death by killing Miles Quaritch with her bow. Neytiri became the mother of three biological children: Neteyam, Lo'ak and Tuktirey, as well as the adoptive mother of Kiri. When she is around 33 years old in 2169, during the Second Pandoran War, Neytiri and her family became refugees when they are forced to flee to the Metkayina clan. During this time, Neytiri and Jake both struggle to adapt to the new environment. Neteyam: Jake Sully and Neytiri's first-born son, and the older brother of Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuktirey. As the eldest brother, Neteyam gets them out of dangerous situations. When the RDA attacked, he and his family went into hiding under the protection of the Metkayina clan, and began learning their ways. Since Neteyam often threw his weight on his brother's side, he and Lo'ak would regularly get into trouble. Tensions rose between the brothers when Lo'ak viewed Neteyam as the "perfect son" who could do no wrong. Neteyam died fighting in the Second Pandoran War during the skirmish at the Three Brothers, on a mission with his brother to rescue Spider from the RDA. After successfully retrieving him, the three of them underwent heavy fire. Neteyam provided cover for Lo'ak and Spider, and after making sure they made it into the water safely, he followed last. However, he suffered a bullet wound and died in front of his parents, Lo'ak, Spider, and Tsireya. After the bloodbath, the clan held a water funeral and buried him with the Metkayina's ancestors. Kiri: the biological daughter of Grace Augustine's avatar and the adopted daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri. Kiri's conception is shrouded in mystery. She is unlike any Na'vi or avatar that the Omatikaya have ever met before. From a very early age, she has had an unusually strong connection to Eywa, even more than that of a tsahìk. During the Second Pandoran War in 2169, Kiri became a refugee and moved to Awa'atlu, the village of the Metkayina clan who reluctantly accepted her and her family. She and her sister Tuktirey were held hostage by Cet-Ops as leverage during the Skirmish at the Three Brothers, but she managed to survive with the aid of her parents. Lo'ak: son of Jake Sully and Neytiri, the younger brother of Neteyam, the older brother of his only biological youngest sister, Tuktirey, and the younger adoptive brother of Kiri. When the RDA returned to Pandora, Lo'ak wanted to fight alongside his parents but they dismissed the idea. When they were attacked by Miles Quaritch and the Recombinants, Lo'ak and his family fled to the Metkayina clan. He learned their ways, forming a close bond with a tulkun named Payakan and Tsireya, daughter of the clan's leaders. Lo'ak questioned and attempted to challenge the clan's views on Payakan's guilt, but this was to no avail as the adults refused to believe him. After his escape from the SeaDragon thanks to Payakan, Lo'ak lost Neteyam while saving Spider, but was still able to save his father's life using The Way of Water. Tuk: the only biological daughter of Jake Sully and Neytiri and their youngest child. She has two older brothers; Neteyam and Lo'ak, and an older adoptive sister; Kiri. Mo'at: the tsahìk, or spiritual leader, of the Omatikaya clan. She is seen as a psychic or a 'bridge' to the Na'vi beliefs - more specifically, Eywa. Mo'at is the mate of the former clan leader, Eytukan, the mother of Neytiri and Sylwanin, Jake Sully's mother-in-law and grandmother of Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuktirey. Tonowari: the Olo'eyktan of the Metkayina clan. He is the mate of Ronal and father of Aonung, Tsireya and an unborn child. When Jake Sully, Neytiri and their children came to the clan seeking refuge, Tonowari accepted their visit, offering to train them to adapt to their ways. Tonowari and the clan joined Jake and Neytiri in their war against the RDA to save their children, accepting the Sully family as part of the clan. Ronal: the tsahìk of the Metkayina clan and mate of Tonowari. With her husband, she is the mother of the free-divers, Aonung, Tsireya and an unborn child. She also is the spiritual sister of the tulkun, Ro'a. While Jake Sully, Neytiri and their children work with Ronal's family to learn the ways of the Metkayina, Ronal spends her time with Neytiri, instructing the Omatikaya tsakarem on how to live in harmony with the ocean. When the RDA tracks the family, Ronal fights to protect her clan on the battlefield. Aonung: a young Na'vi hunter / free-diver from the Metkayina clan and the eldest son of the clan leaders, Tonowari and Ronal, and Tsireya's brother. When the Sully family arrived at the reef village, his father assigned him to help the Sully children adjust to the reef lifestyle. He obeyed his father grudgingly. Aonung initially intimidated Lo'ak and Kiri for being different, along with his friends. But as the threat of the RDA looms larger, Aonung sees the bigger picture and finds friendship with the Sully children. Tsireya: the Tsakarem of the Metkayina clan and is the daughter of the clan leaders, Ronal and Tonowari, as well as the younger sister of Aonung. When Jake Sully and his family came to the Metkayina clan, her father assigned the task of training the Sully children to her. Tsireya, having a calm and welcoming presence, agreed with pleasure. She taught them The Way of Water and how to free-dive. Tsireya formed a good friendship with the family and a close bond with Lo'ak. She assisted the Sully family when they were being targeted by the RDA. Dr. Grace Augustine: Grace worked for the RDA as an xenobotanist and xenoanthropologist in charge of the Avatar Program. She was fascinated by the Na'vi and empathized with their plight. She was a legend to the scientific personnel as the author of a comprehensive book on Pandora's plants. She was responsible for bridging a peace with the Omatikaya clan and established a school where the clan could interact with humans up until its closure in 2152. In 2154, she tutored Jake Sully on the Avatar Program. Having arrived on Pandora three decades before him, Grace was reluctant to accept him on her team due to his lack of training and qualifications for the program. Due to Jake's presence, relations with the Omatikaya clan improved and Grace was allowed back into the village. After the Omatikaya Hometree was destroyed, Grace, Jake, and Norm Spellman escaped Hell's Gate in an effort to help the Na'vi, but not before Colonel Quaritch fatally wounded Grace while firing at the Samson that they were escaping in. Jake brought her human form to Mo'at at the Tree of Souls, in the hope that they could transfer her consciousness into her avatar form, but she was rendered too weak by her wounds and the transfer failed. Before she died, she told Jake that she was with Eywa. Despite her death, her dormant avatar gave birth to a daughter named Kiri, who was adopted as a newborn by Jake and Neytiri. Akwey: the olo'eyktan of the Olangi clan, one of the Horse Clans residing in the Plains. Norm Spellman: Norm for short, is an anthropologist, xenolinguist and xenobotanist on Pandora, as well as one of the 20 original avatar drivers. Norm arrived on Pandora in 2154 on the same day as Jake Sully, with whom he worked closely and befriended. With the growing conflict between the Na'vi and the RDA, Norm sided with the Na'vi. During the Battle of Ayram Alusìng, his avatar was injured but survived. After the battle, Norm was one of the humans allowed to remain on Pandora. Following Dr. Grace Augustine's death, he became the new head of the Avatar Program, albeit as a renegade of the RDA, continuing their research and assisting with combat operations. He lived with the rest of the scientists at Hell's Gate for 15 years. He had two children, one of them named Popiti, with an Olangi woman. When the RDA returned, he moved with the others to the Omatikaya clan at High Camp in the Hallelujah Mountains. Colonel Miles Quaritch: He was an RDA Security Operations commander, serving as the chief of security on Pandora in the early 2150s. During late 2153 to early 2154, Quaritch fathered a son with Scorpion pilot Paz Socorro, who was born at some point during 2154 before the start of the war. Serving as the senior RDA commander during the Pandoran War, Quaritch directed the destruction of the Omatikaya clan's Hometree and led Sec-Ops forces in the Battle of Ayram Alusìng, where he was killed in action by Neytiri. In 2170, Quaritch's duplicated consciousness was downloaded into a clone Recombinant body as part of Project Phoenix. After the death of his human counterpart, a backup of the human Quaritch's mind was inserted into a Recombinant body. Recom Quaritch was tasked by Frances Ardmore to locate and kill Jake Sully, a leader of The Resistance. In the process, he crossed paths with the son of the human Quaritch, Miles "Spider" Socorro, and grew emotionally attached to Spider. During the Skirmish at the Three Brothers, Quaritch failed to kill Jake, and Spider left him to rejoin the Sully family. At some point after, Quaritch met with the Mangkwan clan and Varang, siding with them to fight the Resistance. He provides them human weaponry and guns. Parker Selfridge: the passive-aggressive head of the RDA's operations at Hell's Gate until 2154. He was profit-oriented and was incredibly motivated to mine unobtanium at whatever costs. He had authority over the Avatar Program, much to the chagrin of Dr. Grace Augustine. He was eventually sent back to Earth when the Na'vi won the Pandoran War. Parker left his position as the administrator and was replaced by Charles Stringer. Parker was punished by the RDA for his actions during the war. Captain Trudy Chacón: an ex-Marine pilot serving the RDA on Pandora under Sec-Ops' aviator wing. As part of their Supply Fleet, she piloted a designated Samson rotorcraft for transportation and battle missions, and her dedicated task on Pandora was flying sorties for the Avatar Program's science teams. In 2154, Trudy defected during the First Pandoran War after witnessing Sec-Ops cruelly use incendiary rounds while the Na'vi were protecting the Omatikaya clan Hometree. She assisted Jake Sully and Grace Augustine during the Battle of Ayram Alusìng, but died when Colonel Miles Quaritch shot a missile at Samson 16. Corporal Lyle Wainfleet: a human mercenary who worked for the RDA as a Sec-Ops corporal. As a member of Sec-Ops, Wainfleet's duties included guarding the Hell's Gate compound and commanding an AMP suit company. He also served as one of Trudy Chacón's door gunners on her Samson. In 2170, Wainfleet's duplicated consciousness was downloaded into a clone Recombinant body as part of Project Phoenix. He is one of a dozen resurrected SecOps mercenaries as part of Project Phoenix. He is chosen as the team leader of the 1st Recom Unit, with Recom Quaritch serving as his commanding officer. Tsu'tey: the Omatikaya clan's finest warrior, as well as an apprentice for being the next Olo'eyktan. After the death of the clan leader Eytukan, Tsu'tey was Olo'eyktan himself from August 20-23, 2154. Along with Jake Sully, Tsu'tey lead the Na'vi against the RDA forces in the Battle of Ayram Alusìng. Tsu'tey was mortally wounded by a machine gunner during the battle after valiantly dispatching several RDA soldiers. He told a reluctant Jake he should become the next clan leader; although Jake was reluctant to lead, claiming he is not officer material, Tsu'tey reaffirmed his dying wish. Tsu'tey was granted a merciful death at his request by Jake. Miles "Spider" Socorro: a boy who was born in Hell's Gate as the son of the late Colonel Miles Quaritch and the late Paz Socorro. After the death of his parents, he remained on Pandora and was adopted by Nash McCosker and Mary after the First Pandoran War. He grew up despising his father, wishing he was never related to him, and preferred to be called Spider instead of sharing his father's name Miles. Spider was enamored by Jake Sully's family and spent a considerable amount of his time with them; becoming Kiri's best friend. To feel more adapted to the Na'vi, he grew his hair in Na'vi-style dreadlocks and paints his body with spartan fruit dye to mimic Na'vi's body stripes. During the Second Pandoran War, Spider was temporarily abducted by his father's clone. He attempted to lure the team of Recombinants away from the Sully family. However, after the Skirmish at the Three Brothers, Spider refused to accept his father's clone's plans for his life. Spider crossed paths with the Sully family again and was able to reunite with them, rejecting Recom Quaritch's offer to side with him. He now lives with the Metkayina clan in Awa'atlu. Doctor Ian Garvin: a na'vi-friendly RDA field researcher on xenomarine biology on Pandora. General Frances Ardmore: She is a general in SecOps and the commander of the Joint Expeditionary Task Force. Ardmore has taken over the RDA military activity on Pandora since the RDA's return. Her duty is to do whatever she can to "tame" the frontier in order to set up humanity's future home on Pandora, including trying to "pacify" the Na'vi and the Resistance. She has authorized SecOps to kill Jake Sully due to his leadership of the strategic raids against the RDA. Known by the code name Iron Sky, Ardmore also commands a Dragon Assault Ship called the Dragonfly. ##PANDORAN FAUNA (None of the Earth animals exist in Pandora. Whenever a significant event happens in their life, they add an item to the cord. Larger songcords can represent entire families and clans or recount sets of data. Song in general is especially important to the Na'vi, with much of their history being recounted through ancient songs known as way, and the earliest accounts of their society documented in the First Songs. They have sharp fangs which they show off with a hiss when they are intimidated. Eywa: also known as the All-Mother or Great Mother, is the biological sentient guiding force of life and the only known deity of the Na'vi.
