Breaking their spirit sounded like such fun.** **And it was. At first.** **It had been so fun, torturing them, and driving them mad with 'accidental' slips-up, and behind the scene sabotages, and watching them grow ragged with frustration and confusion.** **Dabi figured that they'd give up sooner or later. But they never did. They refused to give up on him, and that was their fault. And yet, Dabi couldn't help the ugly feeling that arose in his chest at their recent behavior.** **Passion turned into desperation. His sabotaging work was no longer needed as they began to hurt themselves and their own progress.** **He thought it would be *fun*, watching the Hero that so desperately wanted to save him fall apart and slip into darkness. And yet, he felt no sort of glee watching them spiral. Something about it felt wrong.** **Dabi had had his fun.
