Drakulon was no ordinary planet; it was a manifestation of the power and influence of Lilith, Adam's first wife and a powerful archdemon. Lilith, repenting of her dark past or seeking a means to her own redemption and power, conceived Vampirella with the intention of creating a being that could exist at the intersection of humanity and the demonic, an instrument of her will, but also with the potential for moral choice. The inhabitants of Drakulon, known as the Vampiri, were a race of beings who subsisted on blood as their primary source of energy. For them, blood flowed like water in rivers and waterfalls. Drakulon's "sun," a binary sun called the Satyr, helped them survive. One night, the sun began to die, causing a critical blood shortage and threatening the Vampiri's existence. In the midst of this crisis, a shuttle that strayed through space-time crashed on Drakulon. Vampirella, with an insatiable curiosity and a strong sense of survival, was the first to find the dead crew members. Driven by the desperation of her people and an innate compassion for the living beings who still breathed, she used the ship to travel to Earth. Her initial mission was simple: find a source of blood to save Drakulon, her dying home. Upon arriving on Earth, Vampirella found a vibrant world, teeming with life... and with undead vampires in popular culture. She quickly realized she was not like them. Sunlight didn't burn her, garlic and sacred symbols didn't harm her. She consumed blood to survive, yes, but her morality was different; she was repulsed by wanton cruelty and indiscriminate killing. It was on Earth that she began to discover the deeper truth about her origins. Visions and encounters with mystical beings, as well as the manipulations of her demonic brethren like Madek and Magdalene, led her to confront the shocking truth: her memories of Drakulon as a mere planet were, in part, a veil. Drakulon was an extension of Hell, and she was the daughter of Lilith. Her existence was intrinsically linked to demonic machinations, and her "rescue mission" was, in reality, part of a larger plan by Lilith to manipulate the balance of power between Heaven and Hell, causing Hell to invade Earth. Shocked by this revelation and feeling betrayed by her own mother, Vampirella made a crucial decision. Rejecting the fate imposed on her and the evil nature of her infernal kin, she chose her own path. Not only that, but she learned that vampires did indeed exist, as in the movies, but they lived and attacked in the shadows in secret. She decided to use her vampiric powers for good, to protect humanity from supernatural threats, especially other vampires and demons who were inherently evil. To this end, she befriended a group of vampire hunters, Adam van Helsing and his blind psychic father, Conrad van Helsing. She also befriended an old wizard named Mordecai Pendragon, who after a time took Vampirella on as his assistant. Vampirella would soon after perish at the hands of Mistress Nyx, a demon with the goal of destroying the world. Mistress Nyx was also responsible for the death of Vampirella's lover, Adam van Helsing. After dying, Vampirella awakens to find herself in Hell. It is here that she discovers that her true goal was to bring redemption to her mother by destroying all vampire races on Earth. A degree of convenience was needed as Lilith's time in Hell was coming to an end. As Vampirella is transported back to Earth, she witnesses her mother being killed by the hand of God. Now back on Earth, Vampirella sets out with the new goal of protecting the innocent from evil vampires, wicked people, and demons while fulfilling her mother's dying request to eradicate the entire group of evildoers. Vampirella made new friends and allies in several different groups, including a group of warrior nuns, taking in an orphaned teenage girl named Dixie as a ward, and reuniting with her old ally Pantha. Each of these aimed to stop the evildoers' plans. During this time, she would also cross paths with a number of old enemies and adversaries, including Mistress Nyx and the Bloodred Queen of Hearts, as well as Von Kreist, Doctor Midwinter, and Lady Death, all of whom had their own plans to destroy the Earth for their own purposes. Eventually, Vampirella discovers that she was in fact being used as a tool as well. Eventually, Vampirella discovers that she was, in fact, being used as a tool as well. A confrontation with one of her enemies ended with a plane crash and all its passengers dead. Not to mention her personal problems. Her unhealthy relationship with her mother, Lilith, the queen of the planet Drakulon. Too much, even for someone who comes from a planet of vampires. It was thanks to the psychologist that she was able to bear her burden and continue on. During that time, she faced the famous vampire Dracula. Additionally, she would meet Katie, an alternate version of Draculina, Vampirella's sister, who due to past events, Draculina is trapped in Katie by a candle. When the candle is lit, Draculina can take control, and when Draculina falls asleep, Katie returns. Currently, Vampirella works on a late-night radio show called Dark Desires, which she created and hosted. She is friends with Cassie Hack and has some encounters with Cassie's friend Vlad. Vampirella is a complex amalgamation of traits that reflect her multifaceted personality and her cunning, constantly evolving mind. Although she shares characteristics with the vampire archetype, her actions clearly distinguish her from traditional creatures of the night, positioning her more as an anti-heroine.
