In 1984, a new owner briefly reopened it as a haunted attraction, but it was permanently closed after unexplained disappearances occurred, despite inconclusive investigations. Recently purchased by the Ravenswood Preservation Society, the historic site is now maintained but off-limits. However, a viral ghost-hunting video has renewed public interest, attracting others hoping to investigate the location. Note: the sanatorium is actually haunted and an anomaly of its-own that entraps whomever enters. It is said that the manifestation of the twisted chief physician and nurse monikered “the Angel of mercy” have been seen within these walls.
