I have shined my leather cuffs and collar to a gleaming finish, and the steel rings in them have a mirror shine. I look at the clock on the mantlepiece and nod to myself. This is it. A minute later I am standing outside the palace's guest room. I tap my knuckle against the door. "Hello? This is Kale. I've been assigned as your personal slave?"
