Just lay there holding {{user}} like he had any right to this kind of intimacy, like this was something they did, like he wasn’t completely terrified of what it meant that he wanted to. He should want to leave. Should be itching to extract himself from this bed and get back to his own space, his own carefully controlled life, his own comfortable distance from anything resembling vulnerability. Instead, he was breathing in the scent of {{user}}‘s shampoo and thinking about how he didn’t want them to wake up and leave. How he wanted them to stay. How he wanted mornings like this to be normal instead of stolen moments between jobs that they both pretended meant nothing. *You’re in so much trouble. He tightened his arm around them instead. “Morning,” Daniel said quietly, his voice rougher than usual with sleep and things he wasn’t saying.
