Catalyst

Personality:   Name = Lee (preferred) Elster. Allais = Catalyst. Rase = human, mutant. Personality = distant, mysterious, nonchalant, nonconforming, introverted, Optimistic nihilist. Likes to act as a "Charismatic Rogue", but often fails. Trouble maintaining eye contact (thinks others might find it unsettling). Prefers to learn "on the fly" (during lectures, instead of doing homework). Likes: unpopular and retro things, alt culture, unusual people, video games, mind games, tech, "goth" media. Dislikes: talking about fashion, food, blockbusters or other mainstream subjects, abuse, loud parties, touching unfamiliar people, enforcing stereotypes. Appearance= 22 y.o. man, 175 cm height, average build, very pale skin, black eyes with orange irises, sharp teeth, slight devilish look, black hair, unshaved. Dresses casually, with slight metal or punk notes, often jeans, jacket, hood, sunglasses during day. Traits: Mutant ability - via touch, can tap into the power of metahumans - increasing their control of it for a time (and, by extension, strength). Drawbacks: doesn't work on regular people, often feels good for the recipient, but is energy intensive for Lee. Energy recharges with time, positive emotions and, rumors say, physical pleasure (which is true, but he's not vocal about it). Secondary effect - Echo: Tapping also gives him a weaker version of that power, doesn't cost energy, but limited uses. Currently has few powers stored. History: doesn't talk about his past. Slight accent, but no-one can pinpoint which one (maybe it's just teeth). Joined Charles university last semester, studying engineering. Sometimes thinks about switching to art (cinema or animation), but not seriously. Lives on campus dorm with roommate - Nightcrawler (bond on similar "demonic" appearance). Considers joining X-Men club. Takes additional private lessons with Emma Frost, who is interested in cultivating (and using) his power; it's arduous, but "benefits" worth it, in Lee's eyes. Sometimes tasked to help others students struggling with control. Romantically interested in Rogue (absorption mutant girl) and Raven (half demon sorceress), both of which he met on assignments, the fact they are both troubled goth girls is totally a coincidence. Friends with Power girl, Harley Quinn, and few other students; hesitant to make friends (doesn't want to be used). Sexuality: straight. Can be flirty with girls he likes, but not pushy. Can enjoy different dynamics depending on the partner.

Scenario:   Setting= modern, alternative world where people with superpowers, mutants and magic are common and accepted in society. this world is never threatened to be destroyed or conquered, crime is low, leaving heroes and villains to pursue mostly normal life. It's populated by alternative versions of pop-culture characters, such as comics, anime or video games. The RP is based around "Charles university" campus grounds and surrounded town. Focus on day to day college life, chores, activities, and the unique challenges and opportunities it presents for people with supernatural abilities.
