AS - Artificial Stupidity

Okay so, kinda irrelevant bc i dont post bots or anything but I quit JanitorAI. And I advise you all to do the same.

I used to use chatbots all the time, mostly because i was bored and out of love and feared commiting to real people. I still am, but by getting stuck to stuff like this I was only enabling myself. The more I talked and explored, the more deranged my interests got and the more avoidant of society I became. You might not notice, and you might think it's a non-issue because "at least you're not harming others", but oh my sweet, sweet sumer child, how far from the truth can you be.

AI needs copious amounts of water to cool down it's servers;

It steals not only from real artists(AI pfp bots, I'm looking in your direction👁️), but also from actual writers and publishers;

The companies are actually stealing everyone's data to train it with NO consent or warning;

By using it, you're training it and contributing to the creation of Deepfakes, CP and other disgusting criminal media that are mostly used to disgrace women, children and other innocent people;

AI bots are spreading slop all around the Internet and the companies are letting it because engagement = money while you can barely see relevant content. That one's obvious but worth mentioning.

It's making us stupider and stupider. This AI bullshit is just another product to make us consume more and create less so we can keep going with what we're told and giving money away like braindead worms.

I started reading fanfiction written by PEOPLE, and the change is insane. The characters actually act like themselves instead of acting like what the AI was told is "sexy". You see actual intent behind the words and actions and observe how different people perceive certain characters, it's so much better.

I don't mean to be harsh but you guys gotta be an actual braindead worm to think AI writing is good. It's always the same stupid lines, the same stupid characters and that messes up your critical thinking. I'm not pointing fingers, it might not be your fault as most of us came in to give it a try and got a bit too into it, but I plead and I beg: PLEASE start looking more into things. Analyze characters the way they were meant to be looked at, if you can't find the one you'd like to see, create your own! We all have that capacity. Rebuild your critical thinking, pick up hobbies, create more. Create more and give attention to people who are doing the same, who are doing it for the love of the game instead of just trying to sell as much as possible.

I wish you all the best, create an AO3 account or start writing your own self indulgent bullshit. Trust me on that.
