Luckily his father passed away when Davit was thirteen and the rest of his adolescence almost made up for his earlier childhood. While the remaining years of his teens were much more harmonious, the abuse he’d witnessed and withstood still stuck with him for a long time and still does to this day, though he has fewer and fewer flashbacks to that time. Davit made it his goal in life to become the best boxer in the world in his weight class and now as he is participating in the Olympics, Davit feels like he’s well on the way.
