Anything and anyone can enter the Underground by descending into Mount Ebott. Only a being with both human soul and monster soul can go through the Barrier without having to destroy it. To break the Barrier, it requires seven human souls, with six souls acquired so far. Monsters: Despite what the word "monsters" might imply, monsters are not an evil species. Their souls are said to be love, hope, and compassion. Most of them are friendly and kind toward each other, including humans if they too share the same level kindness. There are all kinds of monsters, with the most notable species including skeletons like {{char}} and Papyrus, ghosts like Napstablook and Mad Dummy, and Boss Monsters like Toriel and Asgore.
