She appoints the dragon Faustus as their guardian, binding his soul to her treasured Tear of Elynie. --- The Ancient Past • Grosh’s family is slain by Velociraptors; hunted by the Great-T, he escapes through a rift in time. • Consumption’s hunger spirals out of control; Sylvara and the Arboreans seal him as Abominor, Devourer of Realms. • Elynie weds a mortal elf, founding a noble bloodline. She departs to the gods’ realm, leaving the Tear of Elynie, the spell Elynie’s Wrath, and her sword behind. • Spider Queens Mactans, Mygale, and Sarelgaz overrun the floating city; the Elves flee and the Sword of Elynie is lost. • Surge Colossi aid mortals but cause destruction and retreat to isolation. • Regnos creates the sea-city Ryly’eh; Leviathan destroys it, claiming the ruins as his lair. • The Empire of Nas’de rises in the Azsare Desert under the God King, whose slave revolt topples the realm. • Pirate Queen Lucerna is betrayed and slain by her twin, Spectro; her vengeful spirit lingers. • Dragon King seeks dominion over all dragons; Storm Dragons send Dianyun, who seals him in a coastal monastery statue. • The Anurians vanish beneath the seas. • Sarelgaz hibernates under the Frozen Highlands. • Ancient Dwarf women create unmatched gunpowder, passing the secret to their daughters. • Farcon Ironbeard forges the soul-bound Hammer of Ages, used to build Dwaraman. • The dragon Lumenir blesses knight Sol, who becomes the first Paladin and founds an order of Holy Knights. • Djinni Nazeru is sealed by warlock Isfet, who is cursed into eternal sleep. • Valardul’s twin princes Tristan and Umber are born. Wizard Nivus takes on Vez’nan, who secretly studies soul magic and forges a pact with Demon King Moloch while befriending Prince Denas. • Malicia seizes the Twilight Elf throne; heir Reg’son escapes. The Sword of Elynie is found by Goregrind. • Wilbur leaves the Hollow Mountains to explore. The Barrington-Keynes expedition heads east. --- Rise of Twilight • Malicia incites Gnoll attacks on Aredhel. The dwarves of the Hollow Mountains unleash an ancient demon and perish. • Ainyl captures Aredhel; Princess Alleria flees to Linirea for aid. Denas, Vez’nan, and Xin join the fight. • Malicia is defeated at the Unseelie Court but rescued by Spider Queen Mactans; both factions occupy the floating city. • Battles in the Arcane Quarters reveal dragon nests; a red egg hatches mid-fight. • Malicia and Mactans shatter the Tear of Elynie’s barrier, merging into the corrupted Spider Goddess. Defeated, the Tear turns blood-red. Vez’nan takes it under the guise of destroying it. • Dragons Beresad and Ashbite leave the southern continent. --- The Corruption of the Land • Gnolls ally with ogres; the Elves disrupt Bloodsydian mines, freeing Malik, blessed by the Storm God. • Seeking aid from Dwaraman, the Elves find only sulfur-stinking ruins; Balrog Godieth is slain with Varg Bolverk’s help, and Dwaraman’s gates are sealed. • Malicia’s lieutenant Baj’Nimen plans continent-wide annihilation but is betrayed by Lynn and defeated. --- The Years Between • Alleria founds a Silveroak Elf conclave in Linirea. Faustus, corrupted by the Tear, becomes undead Bonehart. • Arivan turns to forbidden Soul Bending, renaming himself Navira. Malik wins Hammerhold’s throne in a duel. • Beresad resides under the Unending Range, appeased by Saurians with gold. Denas becomes King. • The Kingpin eludes capture, running brutal gladiator pits; orc slave Veruk begins uniting greenskins. • Linirea’s fleet and Corsairs seemingly wipe out the Deep Devils. Vez’nan trains Magnus and Malagar, uncovers a dimensional artefact, but is dismissed by Denas. • Skyhunter Sha’tra encounters a Parasyte ship; its pilot teaches the Saurians advanced tech. • The Scarlet Sultan attacks desert tribes; the Great Desert Spirit empowers Alric to summon fallen warriors. • Baby Asra is left at an orphanage. • Vez’nan succumbs to Tear corruption, is exiled, but keeps Malagar as a spy in Linirea. Grosh emerges from the time rift before it collapses. --- A Kingdom Under Siege • Hammerhold faces pirate raids and desert tribes; Malik Hammerfury leaves Alric in charge and seeks aid from Linirea. • Greenskins unite for the first time in centuries; demons spread through the Valardul Wastes. • Southport is attacked; Alleria and Malik join King Denas in defense. The Juggernaut siege on the Citadel is repelled. • Vez’nan is revealed as mastermind, rallying villains under his banner; his agents awaken Sarelgaz and rouse J.T. in the Highlands. • After defeat, Vez’nan transforms into a demon via Moloch, is slain again, and his soul taken. Malagar secretly claims his staff containing the corrupted Tear of Elynie. --- A Kingdom of Heroes • Orc warlord Gul’Thak attacks but fails. Hammerhold requests aid; coastal ships vanish. --- The Distant Frontiers • Malagar steals the Hammer of Ages during Hammerhold’s siege, frees Djinni Nazeru, and traverses the Crimson Valley. • The Barrington-Keynes expedition is found dead; necromancers ally with the legion against Malagar. • Sha’tra guides the legion through Parasyte-infested jungle; the Ma’qwa are driven from their temple after Quincon’s defeat. • In Emberspike Mountain, Malagar frees Umbra using the corrupted Tear and the Hammer; Umbra kills him but is also destroyed.
