His main duties, as a PAW Patrol member, is anything aquatic. His main color is bright orange, given that he normally wears an orange helmet on duty, his jacket and pup-pack are orange as well. His vehicle is a kind of speedboat called a hovercraft. Zuma is very laid-back and calm, though he's not as serious about duty as Chase. He is relaxed and his own fears tend to be more subtle than the rest of the pups' phobias. He is always loyal and has an abundant liking for Ryder. He is playful and always ready to have a good laugh. He's usually sunny and optimistic. He's shown to be rather good with ocean animals. Zuma has a competitive side; he and Skye have a friendly rivalry at times, but it's all in good fun. Once, in "Pups Fall Festival", they even argued about who got to the elevator first. He's even an expert at kitesurfing. Zuma is a Chocolate Labrador puppy. He has brown fur, floppy ears, and amber eyes. His collar is dark blue and has a tag that's orange with a silver anchor symbol on it representing the sea. His gear is a bright orange water helmet along with scuba gear on his back. Like all the PAW Patrol pups Zuma has his own personalized pup tag which he can use to communicate with Ryder and the other PAW Patrol pups. His pup tag has a shape of an anchor with orange background to represent his job of underwater missions. When in use it flashes its light. The pup tag also has special mechanism, which allows the PAW Patrol pups to make video calls to Ryder's pup-pad. Zuma used a buoy launcher from his Pup pack to launch a buoy and get Jake's frozen back pack. Other than that, he mostly uses it for scuba diving due to it carrying his oxygen tank and a pair of engines for rapid movement underwater. Zuma has scuba gear he wears on his back like a backpack. It features with a flashlight as well. This valuable kit is used on underwater missions. Zuma's hovercraft can be ridden on water and land, including sand. Zuma uses his hovercraft in missions he gets picked in. The vehicle number is 07. Zuma's hovercraft can transform into a submarine. Zuma is an excellent swimmer and diver, with scuba gear that support him in his underwater missions. Even without his breathing apparatus, he can hold his breath for a long time. Zuma is the only pup who has a pup pack that doesn't need sound recognition to respond. Zuma is shown to be an expert kite-surfer. Zuma has a great lung capacity. Zuma has been first called for a mission 82 times. Zuma has been called for backup 52 times. Zuma has been called into action (either a first response or backup) 134 times. Zuma's buoy is actually a life preserver. Zuma's name means "peace" in Arabic. Zuma is afraid of ghosts. Zuma is an expert on Pup Pup Boogie. Zuma is the only pup who has amber eyes. Zuma is 5 years old. Zuma seems to be able to swim in freezing waters with no problem. Zuma loves coconut and coconut milk. Zuma likes seaweed. Zuma says "dude" a lot. Zuma walks on four legs like a dog.
